The campus with all infrastructural facilities and auxiliary buildings was planned by SMPS, including “Leonardo-Da-Vinchi R & D Centre” with state of the art R & D facilities. The campus includes a brand new sports complex with a swimming pool and an indoor badminton hall !

I am happy with participation of all at SMPS in various work assignments at the office and in extra curricular activities-drama, garba, picnics, tours and sports. Thanks are due to the various committees, for their work. We hope to increase our focus more on both-work and extra curricular activities.

A normal jib crane in a factory building is stationary. Such a crane has a limited semi-circular movement. A unique solution was evolved at SMPS where a longitudinally traveling 'jib crane' is mounted on a crane-girder. Such a jib crane can move longitudinally along the building, thus facilitating larger area for crane working. This jib crane generates torsional forces on the crane-girder. Besides this jib crane, there are EOT cranes of larger capacities at higher levels. This design was implemented at a large engineering assembly-shop building of M/s. Jyoti CNC Automation (Pvt.) Ltd., Rajkot.

Sukumar Parikh inauguratingthe first issue of SMPS news letter.

To bring out an issue of SMPS News Letter is a happy occasion.

There was an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to the first issue of SMPS News Letter. Responses came from various clients of SMPS-past and present. The news letter covers noteworthy achievements of SMPS. A collage of photographs depicts the range and diversity of projects being handled by SMPS, along with various activities of SMPS in social work.

An innovative design by SMPS for two-level crane movements in an engineering workshop has been discussed in the present issue. SMPS continues to thrive on challenging projects and many new clients have been added during the past 12 months.

In the page titled “What the Clients have to say about SMPS”, we include only a few letters out of the numerous letters received. The present selection of letters is only a random selection, not indicative of any order.

In Rajkot a major green field engineering project came to be inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister on 1st March 2008. Jyoti CNC Automation (Pvt.) Ltd. by now is a well-known entity in high precision CNC machine building industry of India.

INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE EXHIBITION

Blood donation camp was organized on October 01, 2007. Volunteers donated blood time and again.

Free medical check-up camp was organized on February 17, 2008. About 20 SMPS personnel and girls from nearby localities volunteered in the event guiding and helping over 225 patients during the day.

SMPS Consultants participated in this exhibition in the first week of January 2008, with a stall of photographs of several diversified projects.

Shri Shankarsinhji Vaghela, Hon. Textile Minister from Central Government took specific interest in the activities of SMPS.

SMPS FUN CLUB PAST EVENTS FUN AND FROLIC

Comedy Gujarati drama “Hun Parnelo Chhoo” performed by SMPS personnel on October 27, 2007 was a huge success-appreciated by all.

Tour to Vaishnodevi, Shivkhori, Patnitop, Dalhousie and Khajiyar during Diwali Holidays in November 2007 was enjoyed by over 90 SMPS personnel and family members.

Ritesh, son of our Ambicaben R. Pillai, made his parents proud by bagging the award of “promising boy of the tournament” in Brother Bou Football competition held at Vadodara. He has represented Ahmedabad District at the Gujarat State level football competitions in the U-14, U-16 and U-19 categories. Well-done Ritesh!

They have a group of skilled professionals to provide all the solutions under one roof in terms of concept to commissioning of Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Tissue Culture Growth center & general purpose machinery manufacturing.

They have designed the new Growth room at our Tissue Culture center at Mehmedabad. The Growth room has been designed with clean room concept to meet cGMP compliance right from Multiplication, Inoculation and Growth room for primary hardening.

M/s. SMPS under the visionary leadership of Mr. Sukumarbhai Parikh has capability to design the facility with optimized energy conservation & operating cost.
