Product Link/VIMS™ Strategy for OHT

• VIMS and Product Link will be integrated on one ECM• Significant hardware cost savings

• Slightly different offering on G series of VIMS without TPMS or TKPH.

– 777G – VIMS +TPMS+TKPH are standard– 773G & 775G VIMS Standard – TPMS (Includes TKPH) Optional

VIMS – Types of Information

• Event List records events and abnormalities that occur during operation. It puts each event into context, identifying when it occurred, how long it lasted, affected component and/or system, operator involved, as well as seriousness of the event (Category 1, 2, or 3).

• Event Recorder activates automatically when a predefined event occurs. It takes a “snapshot” of the situation which captures 5 minutes prior as well as 1 minute after the event.

• Data Logger receives input from each available parameter, once per second for up to 30 minutes, which provides a record which useful for predicting, preventing, and

troubleshooting problems.

• Trends display values (minimum, maximum, average) for specific parameters or systems, providing insight in changing conditions over time.

• Cumulative data provides counts or totals

• Histograms present data in a bar graph format for quick visual analysis.

• Payload captures productivity and fleet utilization information, as payload, total cycle time, load time, wait time, travel time as well as fuel usage.

Diagnostic• Data events – machine operated outside its limits• System events – fault within the system, e.g. electrical fault

Trends, Cumulatives, Histograms

Prognostic• Trends reports display min,

max, & averages, e.g. brake temperature

• Cumulatives provide counts or totals,e.g. time in gear

• Histograms present data in a bar graph

TPMS – Payload Management

Accurate: initial & 2nd gear reweighComprehensive data: 2,400 cyclesData• payload• total cycle time• load time• wait time• travel time• fuel usage.

• Runs on the VIMS Application module

• Is standard on 777G and is included with TPMS for the 773/5G

• Is a measurement of the work load capabilities of a tire

• Tire Manufacturers specify TKPH rating for their tires

•The VIMS Application Module uses:

• Payload Weight

•Ambient Air Temperature,

•Distance Traveled and

•Strut Pressures

to calculate TKPH for the front and rear tires once per minute

• Generates events if the front or back tire TKPH value exceeds the configurable trip points

Ton Kilometer per Hour (TKPH)
