ThaliThaliishometoalonglistofbirdspecieswithinitsboundaries.TheSouthAfricannationalbird,thebluecrane,isoneofthespeciesthatfeaturesnotonlyonthefive-centcoin,butalsohere.Ifyouareluckyenoughtoseetheseregalbirds,donotdisturbthem,especiallywhentheyareinbreeding.

TheWestCoastisthesouthernmostpointforthePalaearcticmigratorybirdsfromthenorthernEuropeandSiberia,thereforeonecanseebirdsmostotherpeoplejustdreamof.
