MFM Style Director DANIEL RHONE answers your sty le and fashion conundrums.

WHAT SUNGL ASSES WOULD YOU RECOMMEND FOR THE SUMMER? ANDY FROM SOUTHPORTI would consider the classic styles over the perceived trends that have been stated for the upcoming season. The classic rounded shape in maybe a clear acetate frame (Our Legacy£160) or the ‘Clubmaster’ style with metal and acetate frame (Saint Laurent £225) would be well worth investing in this summer.

That is a tough subject. If applied correctly I would say yes. It’s all about application and giving your skin tone a healthy glow rather than a shade that resembles a mahogany table. Look for a moisturiser that is tinted like Lab Series For Men or my personal favourite, the bronzing gel from Tom Ford. A tip to take note of when using a fake tan is applying your daily moisturiserthen the fake tan followed by a light helping of moisturiser again just to make sure the coverage is even and there are no obvious streaks.

I’M IN THE MARKET FOR A MULTI-PURPOSE SUIT. I HAVE A COUPLE OF WEDDINGS, AN EVENING EVENT AND POSSIBLY A JOB INTERVIEW. WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND? JAMES FROM KENT

IS IT OK FOR A MAN TO WEAR FAKE TAN ON HIS FACE? JONT Y FROM FINCHLEY

It has to be a navy suit for me James. Depending on your budget I would be looking for a three-piece navy suit to fit the bill that you have in mind in terms of diversity for occasion. Regardless of how much you have in the kitty for the suit, set aside £40-50 for alterations as fit is paramount. On the high street I would be looking at Marks & Spencer, Reiss and the John Lewis tailoring range. In terms of an expanded budget look no further than Hackett, Tiger of Sweden and Gieves & Hawkes.

For a lot of men this can be a strong look whether in a formal or understated tone. Personally I believe you have to consider your age to an extent as perhaps for the mature gentleman the more masculine style of having a couple of buttons undone on the shirt might be the better looking option. Either way reference Ryan Gosling on how to do it with your formal outfit.

I’VE SEEN A LOT OF MEN RECENTLY WEARING SHIRTS BUTTONED ALL THE WAY UP BUT WITHOUT A TIE. DID I MISS SOMETHING? HAYDEN FROM NORTHAMPTON

WHAT TRAINERS CAN YOU RECOMMEND FOR ‘THE OLDER GENT’ THAT AREN’T CONVERSE? PETER FROM BRIGHTON

This what I love about men’s fashion right know where sportswear and especially the sports sneaker has infused itself as a men’s fashion staple whatever your style is defined by. I take by the ‘older gent’ tag Peter you are looking for something a little inconspicuous? If that is the case I would recommend the Common Project Achilles Canvas Trainer (£260) which comes in a classic all white or if your feeling a little bit daring in aqua blue.

I think you can have some serious fun with your swimwear, think bright bold colours and wild prints. If you want to keep things classic and stylish, then go for a tailored mid length swim short. Orlebar Brown started the trend of a tailored swim short (Orlebar Brown Bulldog Shorts £135) or even if you don’t have his body, David Gandy has collaborated with Marks & Spencer on a range of tailored swimwear.

I’M LOOKING FOR SOME RESPECTABLE SWIMWEAR FOR MY HOLIDAY THIS SUMMER. ANY SUGGESTIONS? DAVID FROM CHESHIRE

Having just turned 40 years of age, David Beckham is still a global style icon and has been setting

trends for men ever since he came into the spotlight stepping out with Spice Girl Victoria Adams in 1997.

Like many men can relate to, Beckham has made a fair few fashion ‘faux pas’ admittedly over time, but no one can deny how much influence he has

had on how men have dressed over the years.

eckham has always been able to move between formal and casual with the same effect of looking effortlessly good. Beckham’s sartorial stance has found its consistency, which varied previously from sharp to slightly overdone. But over the last few years Beckham has chosen slim line tailoring from louis vuitton and Burberry partnered up with simple but effective tie/shirt combinations which have created a strong and consistent formal look.

is casual game has always been very much on the money but with being in your late 30’s and a father of four, you have to have a certain concern for being age appropriate even if you are david Beckham. I personally love his ‘l.A. biker’ look; clean menswear staples put together in a non-aggressive manor that any man

Furthermore, with his humble nature and unique style Mr Ramos is a truly inspiring icon to other gentlemen out there, not solely to those just within the industry. MFM had the opportunity to speak with Angel and discovered passion is the source of his finest creations. This is the success story behind ANGEL | BESPOKE.

So, hoW dId ANgel | BeSPoke BegIN, tell US the StoRY BehINd the cReAtIoN.Prior to me being in menswear I was a luxury real estate agent with Sothebys International Realty. I did real estate for about five years and towards the end of my run I was getting the itch of diving into menswear, based on the passion that I had. It was at that time I entered into a style contest at Esquire Magazine and thankfully was awarded the “Best Dressed Real Man in America” award. I had to just take a leap of faith and dive in. I did just that. I worked for a custom menswear company for fifteen years and in 2013 decided to start ANGEL | BESPOKE.

WheRe do YoU FINd YoUR PeRSoNAl StYle INSPIRAtIoN? Everyday people, the weather, travels, architecture. I love living in New York City so much because of how it inspires me daily. I’m honestly in love with the city, there’s so much history

in New York that if you actually stop when you walk around, stare and in your mind date back, it almost brings tears to my eyes of even the thought of that time period and how incredible it was.

I’ve realised that one must always put the right people in place when it’s your company. They need to execute your vision perfectly so that it allows you As mentioned.

Formerly a real estate agent, Angel landed his feet in fashion after entering Esquire Magazine’s ‘Best Dressed Real Man in America’.
