The joy of defeating the "Rose Queens" of Ashland at State, the threat of rain on Sneak Day and the emotional good-byes at graduation are a few of the memories seniors will cherish.

In school and out, the class grew to be very close and many friendships developed. New class members found acceptance among their peers.

In her Valedictorian speech, Christy Martin summed up the feelings of her classmates by saying, "Although we may not miss the same things, we will all feel the emptiness that comes in leaving good friends behind."

Year long preparation for gradua­tion was worthwhile but expensive. Senior Mark Blazek said, "There are a lot of expenses during your senior year. You worry about how to pay for it all , but in the end the expenses are worth it." One of the biggest expenses was senior pictures which many had taken early in the fall. Ordering announ­cements, cap and gown deposits and prom added to the high cost of being a senior.

Otten characterized by their outstanding academic, athletic, and leadership qualities, the class also had a fun loving side.

In their spare time, seniors had a tendency to be show-offs. Some of these attention getters included, signing "the big C", beating their cars, flexing their muscle!: and feeding their faces with anything that was edible.

Other out of school diversions included, hunting, fishing, movies, partying and anything else to stay out late. All of these activities enabled the class to take a break from the everyday pressures and responsibilities of school life.
