What we offer...Membership of Bromley House Library gives you access to our latest fiction and non-fiction books, as well as to our older and special collections. We hold nearly 50,000 books, manuscripts, audio books and other materials and we add new titles every month.

We don’t charge overdue fees and our loan periods are generous. We welcome member suggestions for new books.

We are more than a library. Also included with your membership is access to:

• Daily newspapers and a selection of magazines.• Our member’s coffee room – stocked with coffee, tea, biscuits and cake,

and a comfortable place to eat your lunch. • Our beautiful garden - one of only two walled gardens in Nottingham

city centre. • Opportunities to join groups and talks covering a wide variety of

interests.• Comfortable places to work and read, with WiFi available throughout the

Library.• Friendly staff able to help you with your research.

Membership covers the household* so any other adult family members can also have full use of the Library. Under-16s are welcome if accompanied.

*Young person’s membership is individual only

How to join...• To join, please complete a membership application form and return it

to the Library. You can do this by post, email or by dropping into the Library. Please use block capitals on the application form.

• We ask that you provide us with the names and addresses of two referees. This can be a friend, colleague or tutor (not a family member or someone who lives at the same address) who can provide an informal character reference for you.

• Subscriptions run from April to March so members who join during the year pay only a proportion of the subscription initially. For this reason, we ask that you do not send money in with your application form.

• You can make your subscription more affordable by paying quarterly by Direct Debit. To set up a Direct Debit (annually or quarterly) please complete and return the Direct Debit form with your application form. We won’t take any money from you until after the joining process is complete.

• We offer a reduced membership fee to those in receipt of means-tested benefits. Please contact us if you would like more information about this.

• The joining process may take a few weeks as we admit new members on a monthly basis.
