PARTS:

1,2.Extra Grip Tyres: To provide extra grip to smoothly traverse over the rough terrain. 3.Roller: A roller of less diameter than the grip tyres to grip and grasp the elevated surface so that the robot does not get blocked while trying to climb or move to a comparatively elevated surface. 4.Mechanical Arm: This is to hold and pick the victims as well the joints and place them in the right position.

*ADVANTAGE OF USING THE ROLLER WHEEL* As seen from the figure if the robot encounters a sudden elevation in the surface it may get blocked or trapped there as shown in the 1st figure. To avoid such a situation a full length roller is used . IT ALWAYS REMAINS AWAY FROM THE SURFACE AND ONLY COMES IN CONTACT WITH THE SURFACE OF THE TERRAIN WHEN THE TERRAIN IS CONSIDERABLY IRREGULAR. DUE TO FULL LENGTH AND LARGE SURFACE AREA IT PROVIDES EXTRA GRIP, PREVENTS THE BLOCKAGE OF THE ROBOT ANT KEEPS IT MOVING.

THE MECHANICAL ARM

*ALL THE MOTORS USED ARE DC MOTORS* 1.MOTOR 1 This controls the backward and forward movement of the arm by rotating in clockwise and anticlockwise direction in the plane of paper. 2.MOTOR 2 This motor also provides the rotation in clockwise and anticlockwise sense in the plane of paper. It controls the raising and lowering of the MECHANICAL ARM.

THE FIGURE SHOWS FORWARD AND LOWERING MOTION AS A COMBINED WORK OF MOTOR1 AND MOTOR 2. 3.MOTOR 3 This motor is a bit different from the others. It provides rotation in clockwise and anticlockwise sense perpendicular to the plane of paper. The function of this motor is to help the mechanical arm to grip the JOINT or the VICTIM and facilitate it in lifting it.

SHOWS WORKING OF MOTOR 3. 4.MOTOR 4 This is similar to motor 1 and 2. This provides a locking mechanism so that once the hook of the arm is in the right position to pick an object it first locks it's loop and then pick it so as to avoid any fall of object.
