Meetthe newTeflon®Dilutorfrom Brinkma41v
Combine the advantages of a single-stroke dilutor with the many outstanding
I features of the popular Brinkmann Dispen-settea. The result is the new BrinkmannDiluette, a bottle-top dilutor that's incrediblyrugged, accurate and easy to use.
Diluette has Teflon-coated plungers. Both reagent and sample cylinder plungersare Teflon-coated to minimize 'freezing' and'sticking' common to all-glass designs when\ dispensing alkalis. Diluette works smoothly
with most reactive chemicals.Diluette has no fragile glass
tubing. The Diluette design elimi-nates fragile external glassware that
, could easily break or chip. Filling anddischarge tubes are flexible Teflonand can be cut to any desired length.
Dilueffe fits on virtually any bottle.Diluette mounts directly on any 33mmscrew-neck reagent bottle, and on mostother size bottles, cans or containers,
even STJ 24/40 and 29/42 glassware, usingoptional screw-in adapters.
Diluette will dilute or dispense. To di-lute, simply set the two adjustment knobsfor desired Sample and Reagent volumes.Using one hand, lift the cylinder housing tofill, and depress to empty. Diluette may alsobe used only to dispense. Choose from 3adjustable models: 0.02-0.1 ml sample/0.4-2ml reagent; 0.02-0.1 ml sample/ 1.0-5mlreagent; and 0.1-0.5ml sample/1.0-5mlreagent. Accuracy is +1.0% or better;reproducibility is +0.2% or better.

The fraction collectorwith built-out obsolescence
This is the fraction collectorthat will do practically any jobyou may have today, or tomor-row, or five years from now. Itholds 380 little tubes; 135 big,big (70 ml) tubes; or even 28 mmscintillation vials. The RetrieverIll gives you versatile pushbuttonprogramming with time, drop orVolumetric mode selection. Allelectronics are protected fromspills, coldroom condensation, and memory loss during powerfailure.Options include a delay timer
to compensate for effluent vol-ume between the detector andfraction collector, and a driplessflow interrupter valve that actu-ally retracts hanging drops toprevent their falling betweentubes. If you should have a spill,
you can lift off and submerge theentire mechanism tray for clean-ing.Send for your ISCO catalog to

The newNikon Optiphot.A researchmicroscope withoptics, design, andcapability beyondanything in its class.
Never before has anyone offered an in-termediate research microscope withsuch optical performance and broadversatility as the new Nikon Optiphot. Itsrevolutionary CF optics, completely newstand, convenience, and limitless modu-larity are unsurpassed by any microscopein its class. Seventeen patents are pend-ing on the Nikon Optiphot, so advancedis its design.
An outstanding feature of the Opti-phot is the magnificent new Nikon CFchromatic-aberration-free optics, madepossible by Nikon's newly developedExtra-low Dispersion (ED) glass, inte-grated multi-coatings, and totally newlens design for unprecedented imagequality, brightness, resolution, colorfidel-ity, and freedom from distortion. NikonCF optics are, quite simply, incomparable.
The advanced design of the Opti-phot goes beyond optics. An entirely newcoaxial focusing mechanism is sealedagainst dust and moves on roller bear-ings for precise positioning and trouble-free operation. The 12-volt, 50-wattquartz-halogen Koehler illumination sys-tem covers all magnifications withoutchange or adjustment and provides in-

tense, even illumination with perfect colorrendition.
An array of options are available:Five different binocular and trinocularbody tubes, rectangular mechanical androtatable circular stages, a variety of con-densers, and CF objectives over a mag-nification range of 1x to 1 00x.
The Optiphot's modularity permitsphase contrast, Nomarski differential in-terference contrast, incident fluores-cence, and dual viewing. The Optiphotalso accepts the full line of Nikon photo-micrographic accessories for the mostsuperb photomicrographs you have everseen.
Let the instrument convince you.For complete details and a demonstra-tion, ask Nikon Incorporated, InstrumentDivision, Ehrenreich Photo-Optical In-dustries, Inc., 623 Stewart Ave., GardenCity, N.Y. 11530; (516) 222-0200.

Forma's designed an ex-clusive refrigeration system that'sguaranteed to operate at designoperating temperatures as low as-850C in a warm +90°F ambient... no other manufacturer makesthat guarantee. We've added aunique energy saving control cir-cuit to lower operating costs. We'Vebuilt in a self-charging batterypowered alarm system that no onecan outsmart.Other thI, though, don't change.Like our rugged cabinet construc-tion with high-density foamed ure-thane insulation, our embossedaluminum liner that delivers morecold to your stored product, andour super slow warm-up timesthat buy time when the powergoes off. That's why we say Forma Bio-Freezers are built for productsafety from the inside out.
