Mr. Mendel, Meet My Monster
Goal: Create a slideshow presentation to introduce your creature to the world and demonstrate that you’ve learned about genetics in the process.
Directions
In order to receive full credit for this assignment, you must create a slideshow presentation.
Make a minimum of seven (7) slides with these elements:
1. Define the unit vocabulary:
Homozygote
Heterozygote
Allele
Phenotype
Genotype
2. Give examples of vocabulary using your creature
3. Create a Punnett square for your creature’s genotype and phenotype
Upload your presentation to SlideShare
Make sure that your slideshow’s settings are set so that:
Users can comment
Your slides cannot be downloaded
Choose education.
Choose private for groups only. (We’ll take care of the groups and accounts together.)
Look at your peers’ work and comment on a minimum of five (5) presentations using the comment guide and checklist.

Considerations to make when writing a comment:
Is your comment on topic?“An on-topic comment isn't just one that refers to the general subject of the original post. An on-topic comment specifically addresses the questions and points of the original post. Is your comment short and concise?
Is your comment friendly and polite in tone and language?Don't say anything in your comment that you wouldn't say to them in person. Remember: This is an assignment and your audience includes me!
Does your comment add to the conversation?Will other people going to read your comment and think "Hey, I hadn’t thought of that"? Or are they going to think, "Wow, what a load of malarkey"? Remember: “Me, too!” doesn’t count as a valid comment.
