Stanwell Park Rock Pool Trust Funds Following representations from the current members of the Stanwell Park Rock Pool (SPRP) Committee – formed in 1962 – Council is seeking feedback from the community on proposals for how best to allocate the $165,000 now available. The SPRP Committee has suggested that the money be spent on improvements to the Coalcliff Rock Pool.To have your say on this matter, Council has arranged two on-site kiosks during September on:• Saturday 15 September 2012

If you’re unable to attend either kiosk, FAQ sheets and feedback forms will be available at Helensburgh and Thirroul Libraries and on Council’s website.Feedback will be received up until Wednesday 26 September 2012.Council has not formed a view on how the money should be spent other than on some form of recreational service or facility. We encourage the community to make suggestions for the use of the funds, which could then be explored further by Council.
West Dapto Initial Access Strategy – Cleveland Road Upgrades and Associated WorksThe community is invited to meet with project staff to discuss the proposed upgrades for Cleveland Road and surrounds.A drop-in session will be held at the Dapto Ribbonwood Centre on Wednesday 19 September from 5.30–7pm. Preliminary plans, FAQ sheets and feedback forms are available at Wollongong and Dapto Libraries and on Council’s website. The consultation period runs until 2 October 2012.

> PUBLIC NOTICESDraft Council Policy – Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Program – Policy & Code of PracticeCouncil invites public submissions in relation to its draft Council Policy titled CCTV Program – Policy & Code of Practice.
The draft Policy sets out the proposed guidelines and procedures for the management and operation of Council’s CCTV installations and systems across the City and is available for inspection on Council’s website.
Written submissions on the draft Policy should be addressed to the General Manager, Locked Bag 8821, Wollongong DC 2500 or emailed to [email protected].
The public exhibition period closes on 10 October 2012. Submissions will be received until 24 October 2012.
Expressions of Interest – Joint Regional Planning Panel MembersCouncil is seeking expressions of interest for two local panel members (one fi xed and one alternate) for appointment to the Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP).
JRPP holds public hearings to discuss and determine regionally signifi cant development proposals.
To be considered for either position you must have expertise in planning, architecture, heritage, the environment, urban design, land economics, traffi c and transport, law, engineering or tourism.
The appointments are for a term of 12 months and existing members are welcome to reapply. All Panel members are paid on a per meeting basis.

The NSW EPA is holding a free household chemical collection this month.
Up to 20kg or 20 litres of materials such as solvents and household cleaners, fl uorescent globes, and batteries, motor oils, fuels and fl uids can be dropped off.

Remember to transport your chemicals carefully so they don’t leak or break.

Give your studying a boost with this HSC-focused evening.
Between 6–7.30pm Lyndall Hough BA MA (Writing) will offer writing, literacy and expression tips, and discuss the HSC marking scheme. She’ll also talk on the subject of ‘Belonging’.
After, students will be shown HSC-related library resources.
The HSC Lock In is free, and pizza and soft drinks will be provided.

SeniorsGet Involved in Seniors Week 2013Council is extending an invitation to anyone who would like to become a member of the Seniors Week Committee for 2013.
Seniors Week runs from 17–24 March in 2013. The committee will meet monthly from October 2012 until March 2013 and help Council plan the program of events to celebrate the week.
