14Reflection

Reflection:

We know what we are, but know not what we may be.-William Shakespeare

I have learned so much about Autism. I have some knowledge when I was working in a center with few children with autism but I never know the details about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). I knew different types of ASD and their cause and effect. With this course I have gain a lots of knowledge that help me to work with ASD children. I also have learned the strategies for the special needs children which are very important for me to work in the short future with ASD children. On the other hand this assignment was a great challenge for me. My weakness in shaping up this assignment was lack of my knowledge about this topic. My strength in shaping up this assignment was my interest in this topic. I overcome the challenges in outline of this assignment by my searching in internet to acquire more knowledge. My driving force in overcoming my challenges was my interest in this new subject which helped me to overcome the great challenge of this assignment. For example working on power point with note page. Click here click there and finally I found it piece a cake. Meeting the Needs of Children and Family is a long processes resources discussion about the topic so it took lots of time to find the different areas of needs. I over come with my time management strategy make my own plan how I have to finish the assignment. Autism is not only locally it is over the world and people work together on it. The Global Autism Collaboration (GAC) consists of over 100 non-profit organizations located throughout the world with approximately half of them located in the United States. In conclusion I would like to add, it is an important assignment I have done. For me and all of our classes will be benefitted after all. Hope is the greatest thing for moms of autism. Hope is what gets us out of bed in the morning. Im on a mission to tell parents that there is a way._ Jenny McCarthy
