Meet Astronaut Tom Jones

We are pleased to announce Tom Jones will be speaking to the public and signing copies of his book “Sky Walking” after the Model Rocket Launch which begins at 1 PM, on Sunday, March 5, 2006. Space fans can purchase copies of the book in advance for autograph from the Goddard Space Flight Center Gift Shop (301-286-6476). Dr. Jones’ memoir is a summation of eleven years in the astronaut program, where this Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force and B-52 pilot spent 52 unforgettable days in earth orbit – including more than nineteen hours working outside the International Space Station during three extended periods of “sky walking”. His career included four shuttle flights, the last culminating in a series of death-defying space walks that helped bring the International Space Station to life.
