How does it work?
As a tech company we provide the infrastructure and framework
for you to sell instruction and services
related to your products through your store as though they were
another product on your shelves. We
work with you in building the list of instructors and service
providers available through our services in
your store by adding any list you currently have to the service
and inviting others to join. With a simple
email sent to your network inviting them to join, combined with
our ever growing national network of
instructors and service providers you are up and running with a
sufficient variety of instructors and
service providers to meet your customer’s needs.
Does it cost me anything?
Placing the FindProz app on your website is free and only takes
a couple of minutes to complete. In-
store kiosks are rented by month with prices varying by type and
contract length. Scheduled

appointments through the kiosk and app go to pay the rental cost
each month and with normal use
rental costs are fully paid each month by the instructors and
service providers advertised. Contact a
FindProz rep for specific kiosk prices.
What if I already provide instruction and services through my
store?
Whether you provide space for contracted instructors and service
providers or have employees working
in your store providing instruction and services, FindProz has a
solution for you. We provide an EPM
system, or Employee Profile Management, to manage and maintain
your list of instructors and service
providers. Remove the admin headache of creating and updating
all your contractor/employee
accounts and replace it with administrative level tools, leaving
account management to the employees
themselves.

Tyler is experienced in creating and marketing online
businesses. He started his first e-
business PCGiftList.com when he was 17. Tyler earned his degree
in Information
Systems from the BYU Marriot School of Business. Tyler also has
years of experience
as a certified instructor teaching both privately and through an
institution.
COO – Dave Owen
Dave has a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MPA from BYU.
He previously
worked for LexisNexis, transforming their background screening
division through
process reengineering. In addition to experience in marketing
and operations, he has
graduate research experience in entrepreneurial market
dynamics.
CTO – Scott Lemon
Scott has over 25 years of experience at Novell, Adobe, and
Overstock.com, along with
numerous startups. After creating our initial product and
testing it with over 150
users, we are partnering with Scott to fully upgrade FindProz

Controller – Abram Skidmore
Abram Skidmore is a second year MAcc student at BYU. His
rigorous studies and
experiences within various firms have given him a strong sense
of corporate
accounting. Abram, a new member of the PwC Assurance team

struggling students.

Proz, Inc. Breaks New Ground with Kiosk-based Customer
Engagement Application By Proz, Inc.

FindProz.com, a Seattle-based startup, will debut their retail
customer engagement kiosk at the
National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show in
Anaheim, CA on 19 Jan, 2012. This new
application of inexpensive tablet hardware is at the forefront
of an emerging technology trend that
promises to transform the consumer retail experience.
“Consumers don’t usually think in terms of products – instead
they picture lifestyle changes that involve
combinations of different products, services, and learning
opportunities.” says Tyler Pack, FindProz
founder and CEO. “For example, when you buy a guitar, you’re
probably also interested in guitar
lessons, or maybe a recording studio for your band. We enable a
music store to make money offering
these services to their customers at checkout, along with the
other products in the store.”
FindProz.com is a marketplace for music-related service
providers. Music instructors, technicians, and
recording studios can create a listing on FindProz.com
highlighting their qualifications along with photos,
videos, and business hours. A customer can schedule services
with a few clicks and the service provider
pays a small fee to confirm the appointment and receive the
customer’s contact information.
The FindProz marketplace can be embedded on the website of a
music retailer or in a tablet kiosk on the
store counter, enabling the retail affiliate to make money
advertising local service providers related to
the products in the store. In the coming months FindProz plans
to expand into sporting goods, outdoor,
and hobby retailers as well.

New Startup Turns College Students into Entrepreneurs By Proz,
Inc.

FindProz.com, a new tech startup, is supporting local college
students by turning them into tutors,
music instructors, and athletic trainers. It is the creation of
Tyler Pack, Abram Skidmore, and Dave
Owen, three students from the BYU Marriott School.
“Everyone has a talent. Our goal is to enable anyone to turn
their talents into profitable teaching
businesses,” says Tyler Pack, FindProz founder and CEO. “We see
how eBay broke down a barrier for
entrepreneurs, enabling anyone to turn their possessions into an
international retail business. We want
to do the same thing for human talent.”
FindProz.com is a marketplace for private instruction. In a few
minutes, anyone can launch a teaching
business by creating a listing in the online directory.
Instructors highlight their qualifications, post
photos and videos of their talent, and indicate when they are
available for private lessons. A student can
schedule a lesson with a few clicks and the instructor pays a
small fee to confirm the appointment and
receive the student’s contact information.
The FindProz team partners with local businesses to advertise
private instructors related to the products
in the store, enabling customers to schedule private lessons at
the checkout or on the store website. In
the coming weeks, music and textbook retailers across Utah will
be advertising local music instructors
and tutors, and FindProz plans to expand into sporting goods,
outdoor, and hobby retailers in the
coming months.
FindProz is less than a year old, but has already made
significant progress. They were one of ten
companies selected for Boomstartup, a tech accelerator program
based in Orem’s Canyon Park
Technology Center that combines investment and intensive
mentoring in a collaborative workspace.
After receiving a strong response in Utah, FindProz expanded
their operations to Seattle, Washington,
competing in business plan competitions and building
partnerships with local businesses. They won
$50,000 at the Seattle Social Innovation Fast Pitch and placed
as a fund finalist in the ZINO Society
Consumer Products and Services Investment Forum.
The FindProz team has a goal of enabling thousands of Utah
college students to support themselves
through school as part-time entrepreneurs. “Students have so
much talent but they don’t usually realize
how much it is worth.” says Dave Owen, Co-founder. “I had an
‘ah-ha’ moment a few months ago when I
was walking through the school cafeteria and I saw a friend of
mine – a talented musician – flipping
hamburgers to pay for school. We realized that if we could help
people to tap into their talents, we
could create thousands of jobs.”
