Introduction

The sky’s the limit in Trampoline, so it is a small wonder that more difficult elements are

being attempted all the time, as ever-improved trampolines push back the boundaries of

what is possible. But heavy Difficulty is not the key to success: Judges place heavy

emphasis on Execution and Horizontal Displacement (a measurement of how far from

the center of the Trampoline the gymnast is bouncing), in order to assure athletes

perform their routines safely.

RULES

Introduction

A gymnast’s tumbling run consists of eight elements performed in rapid-fire succession,

one after the other. These elements, mostly whip backs or back handsprings, are

punctuated up to three times during the routine with a special, high-flying skill of great

difficulty.

https://www.gymnastics.sport/site/pages/disciplines/ele-tum.php

TUMBLING

DOUBLE MINI-TRAMPOLINEIntroduction

A Double Mini-trampoline routine consists of two flight elements and an all-important

landing. During the first phase, known as the mount, the gymnast jumps onto the angled

part of the trampoline and flips off of it, and the dismount, in which the gymnast lands

the first flipping sequence on the flat part of the Double Mini bed and immediately

launches him- or herself into a second series of flips and twists before landing on the

ground behind the Double Mini-trampoline.

PIOLINE Lionel (FRA)

DOGONADZE Anna (GER)

He dominated the last World Championships held in Japan, in Osaka in 1984, with a gold in the Men’s Individual event and two bronze medals – one with the France team, the other in the Synchro Pairs. It marked a turning point in his career as he went on to win Individual gold at the World Games the following year, and again at the World Championships in 1986. A key figure in Trampoline in the 1980s, he reached the World Championships podium nine times overall – winning three golds.

She began her medal collection with a team world title under the flag of the Soviet Union in 1990 before changing colours, first to Georgia, the land of her birth, and then to Germany, her husband’s country, and it was under the German flag that she won gold in the individual event at the 2001 World Championships and the Athens Olympics in 2004. In a career spanning more than 20 years, in which she also excelled in the synchro event, she collected 15 World Championship medals, four of them golds, as well as two more in the World Games.
