YOUR ID card
Your Medavie Blue Cross card includes your policy and identification numbers. If a type of service is part of your coverage (for example, prescription drugs or dental), present your card to the provider to make a claim.
Your card also allows you to access exclusive discounts through our Blue Advantage program and, if covered for travel benefits, lists the toll-free number for medical emergencies while travelling.
Keep your card in your wallet for easy access.

• Keep track of payments issued to you and/or your service provider
• View and print your Explanation of Benefits(EOB) statements
• View and update your address and direct deposit banking information
• Request a new ID card
Access your coverage details on the go with our free Medavie Mobile app:
• Access an electronic ID card that you can present to health care providers, or email or text to anyone covered under your plan
• Submit a claim by uploading a picture of your receipt and get notification when it’s processed
• Check your coverage
• Find a health professional who offers ePay – those providers who submit your claims directly to us so you only pay any expenses not covered by your plan

Submitting a claim• Direct from the provider – Ask your health professional if they offer ePay – they’ll submit
the claim electronically for you, so you pay only what’s not covered by your plan. • From your phone – Use our Medavie Mobile app to submit your claim right from your
smartphone. Take a picture of your receipt(s) and submit – you can do it in under a minute. • On our website – Use a scan or photo of your receipt(s) and submit through the member
section at medaviebc.ca• Quick Pay – Process your claim and answer questions about your coverage in person,
at locations throughout Atlantic Canada.• By mail – Forms are available on our website.
Direct depositSign up for direct deposit online or on our Medavie Mobile app – to save yourself time by having your reimbursements deposited directly into your bank account.
