Introduction:

Mechcon was established in 1995 by Zahoor Bhutta and started providing subcontracting

services to EPCM companies. Initially focused on fabrication, installation and

commissioning of heavy industrial projects.

Over the years , Mechcon, have been mandated to undertake many large scale projects in

different fields namely oil and gas, mining and minerals, petrochemicals, cement

manufacturing industries

In 2002, Mechcon started providing annual shut down services to its valuable clients. The

following four years witnessed the company managed sustained growth with back to back

completion of 06 major shutdowns on cement plants, 03 of them were up gradation

(capacity enhancement) of the projects.

In 2006 ZahoorBhutta moved to Canada where he accomplished multimillion dollar projects

in the mining sectors while working with bpr-BECHTEL under engineering services program

at Iron Ore Company of Canada (A company of Rio Tinto Group) in the province of

Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

This document aims at demonstrating our capability to undertake various projects related

to the construction industry, the management of projects, engineering and consultancy

2005-2006: Best way Cement Ltd, Hattar Pakistan.

Project: LVT Modification: up gradation of the project from 3900

TPD to 4300 TPD.

This project involved 1000 M.ton dismantling of the equipment

and installation of 1000 Ton of cyclones, structural steel. LVT

modification was completed and plant was commissioned in 17

days: 72 hrs before actual completion schedule.

Details of Work:

Fabrication, Installation of Pre heater cyclones, riser pipes,

ducts and classifiers.



Fabrication and installation of bucket elevators.

Installation and Commissioning of Cooler’s fan

Fabrication of structural Steel

Modifications of smoke chamber and stage no. Cyclones.

Completion of Installation and commissioning of maintenance

and LVT modification 72 hrs before actual schedule.



2005-2006: Askari Cement Ltd:

Up gradation project: Capacity was enhanced from 3000

tons per day (TPD) to 3500 tons per day (TPD) during a 25

days shutdown. Installation and commissioning was

completed 48 hrs before actual schedule.

Details of Work:

Dismantling of 750 metric ton equipment after

plant was stopped and cooled down

Major equipment dismantled: ID fan, EP fan, Girth

gear’s of Rotary Kiln, Chair plates and Tires of the

Rotary Kiln. Cooler fans, Cooler plates and structural

steel.

Completion of Civil work at EP and ID fan foundation

Dismantling of Girth gear and pinion. Installation

of Girth gear and pinion and motors. Axial and

Radial Alignment of the Rotary kiln at girth gear.

Installation of cooler’s plates, cooler’s fan.

Commissioning of the cooler after

modifications.



Modification of conditioning tower, modifications in

cyclones and smoke chamber, Installation of ID and

EP fan, Cold and hot commissioning of the ID, EP fan,

Rotary Kiln and Cooler.

2007-2011: Iron Ore Company of Canada (A

company of Rio Tinto Group), Labrador City

Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

Worked on capital and operational projects within

engineering services program (ESP). at this position I

was responsible for engineering, designing, planning,

execution, monitoring and closing of the projects in

coordination with client and other stake holders. We

were also providing, integrated project services (IPS)

to client and our engineers and project managers were

responsible for the capital and operational projects

from concept to close out.

2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Annual Shut

Downs: Responsible for the planning, tendering,



awarding of the contract and execution of the shut

down where we managed multidisciplinary contracts.

Brief work description is: Washing and scaling of the

loading pockets, Structural steel Repairs, Replacement of

bull nose gear, Apron feeder, gear box and motors.

Geotechnical remediation and water controls in the

tunnels and audits. Electrical work.
