Remote Lesson and Description of Lesson: Using the “Farm Animals” .pptx , the lesson will revolve around showing a color, realistic photograph of an animal, then using color highlighting, discuss each salient feature of that animal. Goal Achievement: When presented with 2 different toy farm animals or domestic animals against a solid black background, the student will be able to correctly choose the requested animal 3 out of 4 tries.     Materials provided by Parent/Caretaker: iPad, internet connection, All-In-One Board, small table/chair, APH black Invisiboard, LightBox Extend and Apply: 1. Using the red Sensory Bottle on top of the LightBox, encourage your student to roll the bottle and visually locate the large pig. See if your student can visually locate at least salient feature of the pig 2. Create a Visual Dictionary to share at Google Drive. Add new objects/targets and the salient features you have decided upon

    3. Use the Animal Shape transparencies on top of the LightBox to discuss salient features of each animal. Encourage your student to touch each of the salient features identified. 4. Use a red or green dry erase pen to outline each salient feature on the transparencies of the animals used on the LightBox Provide Feedback: Call scheduled for ________________ (i.e. next day after lesson, date/time) Salient Features are a way to help our students with CVI make sense of the world.
