(SNIEC), Shanghai. It is the leading fluid powerand power transmission trade fair in China andAsia generally, and the second-biggest world-wide after MDA in Hannover. The fluid powersector is one of China’s most innovative, andwill have a very strong showing at PTC ASIA2010. The exhibits will also include, for the sec-ond time, a number of R&D projects by Chineseuniversities. The exhibition content will becomplemented by a top-notch supporting pro-gram of seminars and conferences. Highlights

MDA INDIA profiles latesttrends and technologiesThe fourth MDA INDIA runs from15 to 18 December 2010 at theBombay Exhibition Center (BEC)

in Mumbai. The fair will showcase the latesttrends and technologies from around the globeand attract decision makers and trade visitorsfrom a whole range of backgrounds. The Indianeconomy is steaming ahead, achieving double-digit growth rates – largely on the back of domestic demand. One of the most promisingexport markets in the world, it has continued toyield solid European export growth despite theeconomic crisis. All of which points to the pivotal importance of MDA INDIA 2010, whichwill be co-located with ENERGY INDIA, INDUS-TRIAL AUTOMATION INDIA, CeMAT INDIA and,for the first time, Surface INDIA. The MDA INDIA trade fair is well established in the

market, and historically accounts for morethan one third of the total exhibitor muster atall of the co-located events. More than 60 per-cent of the exhibitors come from outside India– primarily Germany, Italy, Taiwan, China andthe USA. What do you see as the key tech-nology themes for 2011?Energy efficiency and CMS will remain in sharp focus. The new MobiliTec fair will cover the interface between drivetechnology and electric mobility,while the neighboring Energy andWind fairs will provide an excellentthematic backdrop with extensive

Cross-industry reachThanks to the vast synergy potential created bythe simultaneous staging of a number of flag-ship trade fairs, MDA exhibitors gain exposureto trade professionals from all sectors of in-dustry. At around 38,000 individuals, thelargest contingent of visitors in 2009 came

from the manufacturing sector. The capitalgoods sector was next with around 29,000 visi-tors. Other key industries represented includ-ed the services, trade, energy, and skilledtrades sectors. This broad spread opens up exciting cross-industry market developmentopportunities for exhibitors.

Potential customers from all backgroundsThe 2009 visitor survey revealed that MDA exhibitors made contact with potential cus-tomers from all backgrounds. For instance,around 18,300 visitors worked in research, development and engineering design, while14,200 were employed in marketing, sales, advertising and PR, and 12,400 were top-levelmanagers.
