We will divide the field into five passing lanes, or what we will refer to as tubes. The five tubes represent the pre-snap position of the five eligible receivers and are
named by the anticipated action of defenders in those tubes. Tubes are created by thelocation of eligible receivers in the offenses pre-snap position.
The outside CUSHION TUBES will contain defenders whose cushion may potentiallydeny outsidereceivers free access down the field vertically.
COLLISION TUBES have defensive players positioned to disrupt or re-route the exitof an insidereceiver using contact.
The CROSSOVER TUBE is located between the offensive tackles and can serve as anadditional collision tube. In this tube, defenders exchange responsibility for crossingreceivers and cover them along their drop paths.
Any grass above the HARD DECK is considered the deep part of the field. Any tubewith a defender aligning deeper than the hard deck (7 10 yards) is in a CAPpositionto control the vertical stem of a receiver in that tube. A defender below the hard deckrisks getting beat deep.

Each of our passing concepts will have a playside. The quarterback will designate playside during thecadence. If we are playside right, the quarterback willcall an even number in the cadence. If we are playside
left, the quarterback will call an odd number in thecadence. We will number our receivers from 1 to 4starting with the playside receiver closest to the sideline
regardless of the formation we are in.*We will always call playside to the trips side in any 3x1 or3x2 formation.

This concept has been one of our most successful in execution. The route conceptallows the offense to confidently attack any coverage the defense plays. TheDallas concept combines a quick vertical stretch with a quick horizontal stretch.Verses cover 0 or 1, we have built in man beater routes. Versus cover 2, we look tohorizontally stretch the strong safety. Versus cover 3, we look for a rhythm seambefore progressing to a read post in the vulnerable weak hole. Versus cover 4, we
look to vertically stretch the defense before progressing to an arrow route attackingthe open flat. This must be run with a trips formation. We can motion to trips bychecking with the cadence out of any 2x2 formation.

The concept features a route that is run shallow at the heels of the defensive
linemen. The route allows the offense to neutralize the man-advantage of thedefense by crossing the center line of the formation (cross-over tube). This conceptcan be successful vs. any coverage. The core of this concept combines the Shallowroute with a Dig route from the opposite side of the formation to create a 2-on-1vertical stretch with the outside linebacker. Post routes are run by the outsidereceivers to create a 2-on-2 horizontal stretch with the safety.
#1 - 7-step lock Rhythm Post
#2 - run a Read Dig at 10 yards (idle down vs. zone)

The Detroit Concept features one of MCCs most successful combinations thepost/wheel combo.
Verses a MOFO coverage, the QB will read
1. Playside post
2. Wheel
3. Shallow
Verses a MOFC coverage, the QB will read
1. Playside post2. Backside post (Skip if man coverage)
3. Shallow or F-spot

The Oakland Concept is a staple of the West Coast offense. This play consists
of the same infrastructure as the Tampa Concept. The horizontal stretch madeby the Shallow route and the Dig route are the foundation of the two concepts. However, in the Oakland concept the shallow and dig are on the same side ofthe field.

The Boston Concept allows the offense to confidently attack any coverage the
defense plays. Verses cover 0 or 1, we have built in man beater routes. Versuscover 2, we look to horizontally stretch the strong safety. Versus cover 3, welook for a rhythm cross before progressing to a backside read hook in thevulnerable weak hole. Versus cover 4, we look to vertically stretch the defensebefore progressing to routes attacking the flats. We will often tag a route for
the F in this concept.
