I n Psalm 1 we are given a choice of two plans to follow i n l i f e . Anyone of us who spent time doing construction knows the iatportance of plans and blue p r i n t s . The Law of God i s a blue p r i n t for l i v i n g , euad i s a friend of God's people, but the enemy of Tjngodly ones. "Law" i s more than l e g a l codes. The Psalmist regards the law "as the i n t e l l i g i b l e expression of Divine W i l l , v a l i d for a l l , and therefore tJbte \xnerring compass used to regulate h i s conduct and i s the r u l e over h i s l i f e " . The benefits of accepting God's plan i s shown i n Verses 1-3. We become a l i v i n g , growing specimen of what God's w i l l i s for our l i f e .

Yet, when we choose to oppose God' s way as shown i n Verses 4 -6. the ungodly has no ROOT and no FRUIT. To choose t h i s way i s to choose e t e r n a l separation from God. The man of God i s seen as:

STATELY - l i k e a tree STURDY - Firmly planted SUCCESSFUL - productive

SELECTIVE - decides what he w i l l allow into h i s l i f e .

Each of us must choose whether we w i l l follow the pleui of righteousness or the plsui of wickedness. We must bui l d with God's pleui upon His foundation -"THE SOLID ROCK". May God b l e s s you i n a l l that you do. Your fr i e n d and fellow Seabee.
