For bankers who are unfamiliar with MBIS, the company began in 2011 as an insurance agency owned by WBA and the Minnesota Bankers Associations, working exclusively for the financial institutions industry in the upper Midwest. As an independent agency, MBIS has access to a variety of insurance providers to help tailor a plan to each institution’s specific needs. Whether it is through a combination of the three property and casualty lines of coverage MBIS offers, some of the diverse line of lending related insurance products, or professional coverage such as Directors and Officers Liability or Cyber Liability policies, MBIS has the freedom to create a plan that fits your bank’s needs. While there are many insurance agencies to choose from, banks should consider doing business with MBIS not just because of the quality products and service, but also because it is an investment in the banking industry. Your purchase of insurance from MBIS ultimately helps WBA continue to provide our many high touch services to the membership. Our focus and commitment to our banker membership is one reason why we made the strategic decision to invest in and manage an independent insurance agency like MBIS. If you currently work with a local agent, MBIS is still able to provide programs to your bank by working in tandem with your existing agent. In addition to a competent and highly qualified sales team, MBIS is also supported by other individuals you know and trust including WBA’s Daryll Lund, 608/441-1203, [email protected], and John Ladwig, 608/441-1213, [email protected]. This is a positive new change for the membership; and rest assured MBIS will provide the same level of high quality and great service you have come to expect from both WBA and CBW. As an insurance agency run by those defending and advocating for banking, you can be confident MBIS will always have your best interests in mind.
