TRIP DETAILS Overview
This course utilizes a mix of lectures and in-class discussions/school visits, and company visits. 6 Lectures in Toronto at Schulich (Pre-travel) 10 days in Chile/Peru, 11 days in Thailand/Vietnam Students will participate in a diverse selection of company visits, which may include: • Finance • Renewable energy • Social enterprises • Consumer goods • Agriculture • Small to medium enterprises
• Fair trade • CSR • Mining • Real estate • Wine industry • Retail

COURSE DETAILS Course Outline Brief Description: The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the business practices, and the associated government policy and NGO environment, in the countries visited to see how they have contributed to the economic development of the countries and what they might mean for Canadian organizations or individuals seeking to do business there. The countries visited have strong links to North America, so we will also be exploring the impact of globalization and the increasing inter-relatedness of global business activities. Course Evaluation: Participation/Course Contribution: 20% Pre-Departure Paper: 25% Group Presentation: 25% Field Study Journal/Reflection: 30%

REGISTRATION How Do I Sign Up?
Step One. Reserve your space on the registration site (first-come first-served basis) • Registration opens: Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:30am EST • 32 seats for each tour – if full, add your name to the waitlist • Students can only register for one tour or be waitlisted for both tours Step Two. Submit your $500 deposit within 48 hours of being sent the payment link • The $500 deposit is non-refundable but transferable to the next student on the
waitlist up until January 9, 2017 Step Three. You will be sent an email to enrol in the Study Tour course through Passport York later in the term
