We know the NHS are being recognised for the amazing work they areperforming and our thoughts are with them daily. There are other frontline workers providing a very important service and many communities are being kept supplied by the great work that you are doing. Positive Customer News

Our drivers are reporting positive comments about the way that stores and their teams are dealing with the day to day running of business. Many of you now have screens in place around the till and are put-ting up your own notices detailing social distancing and limiting the number of customers in the store at any one time. There are also many good stories where store owners and workers are going above and beyond to look after their customers. We hope that your customers behave in an appropriate man-ner for you and that together communitities can work towards getting through this thing.

Following The Guidelines

We have all of our sales teams working remotely which I know for the field team is disappointing when they want to show as much support to their accounts as possible. Some of them miss you so much they have been out helping complete deliveries, while following all of the appropriate guidelines. In depot we have cleaning measures in place and will continue to encourage social distancing while in the depot or out on the road. We will react in accordance with all government guidelines to protect all front line workers and as a result help support our NHS. 7b�Wa�bVS�SfWPWZWbg�O\R�ÔaaW]\�]T�]c`�bSO[�Ob�bVWa�bW[S�eVWQV�Wa�VSZ^W\U�ca�YSS^�g]c��]c`�Z]gOZ�Qcab][-er supplied. Business As Usual

At Consort we have worked very hard to ensure that the service levels are very much, business as usual. We are aware from many new customers that from their normal route to market they have faced a lot of uncer-tainty over not only what they will receive but most importantly when they will receive it.

We are also very much reliant on the manufacturers at this time to ensure we have continuity of stock which has been difficult. During the initial lockdown period there was a lot of pressure on the supply chain and we Sf^SQb�bVOb�b]�Q]\bW\cS�T]`�QS`bOW\�^`]RcQba�T]`�a][S�bW[S��6]eSdS �̀�RcS�b]�bVS�TO\bOabWQ�STT]`ba�]T�]c`�teams we have continued all the way through, sticking to your normal delivery days and functioning as we would with ice cream during any of the hottest heat waves. Despite the challenges in the world we hope that you feel confident you can rely on the hard work that has gone into it being, for Consort at least, Business As Usual! Best Practice Ordering And Deliveries

We want to make trading as easy as possible and have some suggestions this month on the brochure that may be of assistance while we are still in the lockdown period. The social distancing measures in the offices and resulting working remotely have meant we are encouraging more and more use of our online ordering at www.consort.coldweb.co.uk. We also have info on how to down-load and use the Consort app. We would really encourage all customers to look to this to help them communi-cate through their orders. We are relying heavily on our answerphone system for those that need to speak to us and we will ring you back as quickly as possible.

We are continuing to call all customers for their normal delivery day but if you are concerned you have not heard from us then please do consider placing an order online or sending us a message via the website.

There is also some suggestions on best practice when dealing with deliveries in store Promotional Support We would like to make it clear that Consort has not changed any of our activity or prices during this period. Suppliers of frozen food have taken decisions to suspend or cancel their promotional plans while stock is in short supply and availability of skus cannot be guaranteed. However, as you will see in this month’s brochure, there are plenty of deals on ice cream that we are assured will continue unaffected going forward. Passing promotions through to your customers at this time would possibly be seen as very supportive in try-ing to lift their spirits when finances will be a challenge for many.
