MAY FESTIVAL 2014 This is the nineteenth annual celebraon of music and worship to be held in the Bournemouth Town Centre Parish. We welcome many music lovers and over a hundred performers who join with us for these three glorious days. This year the events take place in three different venues starng on Saturday at the Pavilion with an organ concert by Simon Gledhill, moving to St Stephen’s Church and finally to St Peter’s Church for Monday’s events. Our special guests this year include Gordon Stewart who will be giving the Whitlock recital. He is a regular visitor to the fesval and an internaonally renowned Concert Organist The composer of the fesval commission is Ian Wicks. The composer Andrew Carter from York is giving the Lecture. We also again welcome Andrew Fletcher as our fesval organist. The choir of Chichester Cathedral directed by Sarah Baldock will be singing the Saturday Fesval Evensong. St Stephen’s Choir will once again be joined by the Durlston Court School Choir for the Sunday Choral and Orchestral Concert which has the theme HALLELUJAH! and will include the Coronaon Anthem “The King shall Rejoice” by Handel and the Concerto for two Cellos by Vivaldi and a variety of items loosely linked to the theme. On Monday the lunchme concert is given by Caren Friel (soprano) with Sam Hanson at the piano. The Monday Choral Evensong in St Peter’s will be sung by the joint choirs of the Town Centre Parish. The final event on Monday is an Instrumental Concert featuring The Parry Ensemble with Sam Hanson. We hope to welcome many who have been with us before over the eighteen years of this fesval and will be delighted to meet all for whom 2014 will be your first visit. MAY FESTIVAL 2014This is the nineteenth annual celebration of music and

BECOME A PATRONThis Festival would not be possible without the support of our many patrons who help to fund the programme and the publicity. A small minimum donation of £25 enables you to be a patron of the Festival with your name included in the Festival Programme. All patrons will receive a free copy of the programme. (If you are a UK taxpayer your donation as a patron can be significantly increased by utilising “Gift Aid”)Please apply to be a patron by the 1st March to guarantee that your name is included in the programme.

SOCIAL EVENTSPlease book at least seven days in advance for the Festival Lunch.This is a three course set menu roast lunch including coffee. A vegetarian alternative is available if requested in advance. It is helpful if you book for the Festival Tea although there will be a number of tickets available on the door.On Monday the tea after Evensong is open to all. During the weekend refreshments will be available at the back of both churches.
