From the President… By Susan Carrillo, CPSM
Dear Affiliate Members,
Happy Spring!! Due to the lateness of the April newsletter
getting out, I am rolling May right along in with April. We
had an awesome speaker for our April meeting with NSU at
their beautiful campus in Broken Arrow. Dr. Landry always
does such a great job hosting us for our NSU student
scholarship night, thank you Dr. Landry! Ms. Danielle
Shelton was this year’s scholarship winner; please take a
moment to visit our website to learn more about Danielle
and her accomplishments. We had an awesome speaker for
April, Mr. Ed Gort, V.P. of Engineering & Professional
Services. He spoke to us about SUPPLY CHAIN INNOVATIONS
THROUGH VISUAL DATA INTELLIGENCE.
Mr. Gort has over 28 years of management experience in
Logistics, Sales, Industrial Engineering, Management
Consulting, Distribution, and Transportation. With his
entrepreneurial spirit, he has a proven record of high
impact, high value successes in designing, executing growth,
and transformational initiatives for large, complex, global,
public companies. He is a recognized industry leader for
leadership development with a history of building and
developing high caliber, performance driven teams.
Mr. Gort has been with LynnCo Supply Chain Solutions since
2013. He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering
from the University of Miami, a Bachelor of Science Business
Administration in International Business/Trade/Commerce
from Shorter College, and a Master of Business
Administration from the University of Phoenix. Ed is certified
as a material-handling consultant by the Material Handling
& Material Management Society of America. He is also a
member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Warehouse
Education & Research Council as well as the Council of
Supply Chain Management Professionals.
I apologize that I will not be able to be at our May PDM
meeting but I leave you in good hands with VP Scott Mullins.
ISM-Tulsa takes a break in the summer and then back in the
fall. I wish each of you a very happy and wonderful summer
and look forward to seeing you again in the later months.
