Go to corralesartstudiotour.com to download a 2017 tour map.
The Corrales Society of Artists is proud to present the 19th Annual Corrales Art & Studio Tour. Our planners are pleased to bring together a world class gathering of artists for this event. This year, 80 artists, three galleries and student artists from two Corrales elementary schools will show their work at 36 venues that include not only the homes/studios of local artists but also local wineries, historic bed and breakfast inns, and selected local businesses. Visitors should plan to visit the Preview Gallery at the historic Casa Vieja Event Center, 4541 Corrales Road, to get a tour catalog and map, view art from all participating artists and develop a tour plan. On the tour, visitors will see a variety of exceptional art, meet the artists, and in some cases, tour their studios and see demonstrations of artists’ creative processes. Visitors can get more information on CAST by visiting our website, at www.corralesartstudiotour.com. CAST is supported by many Corrales residents and local businesses. We enjoy strong support from local businesses year after year. They have been a vital component to our success and we value our relationships with them. I invite all of our community friends and visitors to the Village to take time to enjoy the charm and hospitality of Corrales, take the tour, meet local artists and celebrate great art. Whether it’s great food, a glass of wine, good coffee and/or a mug of local craft beer, CAST, the Village of Corrales and its merchants are prepared to offer an unforgettable weekend to visitors.
We appreciate your interest and support. Thanks for visiting!

Casa Vieja was originally built in the 18th century by Salvador martinez on land purchased as part of the Alameda Land Grant. the Village of Corrales was an attractive location due to the inexpensive farmland, proximity to the rio Grande river Valley, and its rural setting.
In 1941, the Harrington family purchased the empty martinez house. they immediately began restoring the old building; concerned with preserving the integrity and heritage of the structure. Only five of the original twenty rooms were still intact. mrs. Harrington gave the name “Casa Vieja” or “Old House” to the building.
In 1950, the building was sold to Dr. Alan Jacobson. He and his family lived in part of the home and turned the rest into a small hospital.
In the 1970s, the building was sold again and converted into a restaurant. It was a local hot spot for fine dinning in Corrales. Chef Jim White and Chef Josh Gerwin were among some of the previous culinary artists to call Casa’s kitchen home.
Casa Vieja is on the New mexico State register of Cultural Properties.

Built in 1960, the Nora Dixon Place echoes New Mexico’s unique Territorial era architecture. The New Mexico Territorial style house is adobe brick with sawn pine trim painted white and pedimented, divided-light windows. Adapted for use of available materials, the style brought eastern traditions to the frontier in the 1870s.
Set on an acre and a half in the bosque, the cottonwoods, Russian olives, fruit trees, native plants, livestock and vegetable farms provide rural peacefulness just 35 minutes from the Albuquerque airport. Visit Santa Fe, New Mexico by a short 50 minute drive north on New Mexico Interstate 25.

“So near, yet so far” is a perfect description of the Chocolate Turtle B&B. Nestled in the Rio Grande Valley, it seems a world away from Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.

The Sandhill Crane Bed and Breakfast is a true adobe hacienda situated on two acres on edge of the bosque. The home is shaded by giant cottonwoods and pines. A great room features a kiva fireplace and fabulous mountain views. Brick floors and timbered ceilings accent the southwestern architecture and each room features artwork by local artists. There’s also free wi-fi for guests who can’t bear to be without their email!
Keep up with events at the inn by checking out their blog. It’s their way of sharing adventures with their guests.
Enhance your stay by adding one of our popular cooking classes or our romance package.

Thank You!There are many tasks that need to be done to produce a studio tour of this size. We are very fortunate to have an outstanding leadership team to manage event details. Furthermore, each participating artist contributes time and energy by volunteering for event tasks.
Many of our artists have spouses and family that selflessly donate hours of their time and expertise to support our members and CSA events. We would like to recognize and thank all for their invaluable help and support. We are grateful for the time, small and large, that each and every person has given to make this a successful endeavor.
