PRAYER IN A TIME OF PANDEMIC
O God of compassion, Your people are anxious in this time of pandemic. Send Your Holy Spirit among us to dispel our fears.
We cry out to You in our confusion; comfort us in our affliction. Grant our leaders wisdom to guide us.
Strengthen and sustain those who are ill, and be with those who care for them. Help us to travel this road in solidarity with our neighbors,
with our eyes fixed on the salvation promised us through the death and resurrection of Your Son, Who is Lord, forever and ever.
Amen.
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
CORONAVIRUS SCAM ALERT
Unfortunately, recent weeks have seen a surge in coronavirus-related internet and phone scams.
Some offer vaccines and at-home testing kits, others use robocalls offering fake products for money or donations. In some cases, the callers are claiming to be the IRS, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or from the World Health Organization. They claim to offer things (economic relief funds, cures for Covid-19,
etc.) and ultimately will ask for personal information and/or account information.
Some scammers are offering to help with errands (picking up groceries, prescriptions, etc.)
and run off with your money. Similarly, be extremely wary of any online vendor that claims to have hard to find items available for delivery (face masks, hand sanitizer, etc.).
There is a new rash of work at home scammers taking advantage of those who are stuck at home and laid off from their jobs. They offer online jobs, shipping or mailing work, selling goods, and more - bear in mind that any “job” requiring you to pay a fee upfront is almost certainly a scam.
Now, more than ever before, it is important
for you to be connected to the Parish.
