•BAPTISMS / BAUTIZOS/ BATTESIMO Baptism are celebrated once a month on a Sunday after the 12:30 Mass in Spanish and 2:00pm in English. The dates for the Baptism of children and for the Pre-Baptismal instruction of parents should be arranged in the rectory ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE. In addition to English, and Spanish this Sacrament may also be in Italian.
•WEDDINGS/ MATRIMONIO Pre–marital instruction is a requirement for all engaged couples. Consequently, arrangements for weddings should be made SIX MONTHS in advance.

“As the day was drawing to a close, the twelve approached him and said: ‘Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding villages and farms and find lodging and provisions, for we are in a deserted place here.’ He said to them, ‘Give them some food yourselves.’ They replied, ‘Five loaves and two fish are all we have, unless we ourselves go and buy food for all these people.’ They all ate and were satisfied.” The celebration today sets us apart as
Catholics. We do not only recall how Jesus fed the multitude but Luke offers us a glimpse of the action which takes place at every mass. He tells us 1. Jesus took the loaves and fish, 2. Looked up, raising His eyes in prayer, 3. Said the blessing, 4. Broke the bread, a sign of sharing, and 5. Gave it to the disciples for them to share. Not just for them to eat but for all. Imagine the wonder and awe, as people saw what was happening and then were fed. Surely it made a great impact. We come to Eucharist and the same Christ, in the person of the priest, consecrates elements of bread and wine, because we need to satisfy our hunger. I must ask myself, if the gift of Eucharist produces the same effect in me? Do I recognize the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist? Do I hunger to receive the gift the Lord has provided for me? Does my encounter with Christ in the Eucharist produce a unity, a oneness, which is what communion means? On this special feast I pray that my devotion to Christ in the Eucharist may be revived. May I connect it with my First Holy Communion. I recall a small sign in my church which told the priest ‘Celebrate this Mass as if it were your first Mass.’ Celebrate it as if it were your last Mass.
“Al caer la tarde, se acercaron los Doce y le dijeron: ‘Despide a la multitud, para que vayan a los pueblos y caseríos de los alrededores en busca de albergue y alimento, porque estamos en un lugar desierto’. Él les respondió: ‘Denles de comer ustedes mismos’. Pero ellos dijeron: ‘No tenemos más que cinco panes y dos pescados, a no ser que vayamos nosotros a comprar alimentos para toda esta gente’. Todos comieron hasta saciarse.” La celebración de hoy nos distingue como católicos. No sólo recordamos cómo Jesús alimentó a la multitud, sino que San Lucas nos ofrece un vistazo a la acción que ahora se lleva a cabo en cada misa. Nos dice primero, que Jesús ofrece panes y peces. Segundo, que levantó la vista, elevando sus ojos en oración. Tercero, dio su bendición. Cuarto, partió el pan, señal de compartir y quinto, lo dio a sus discípulos para que lo compartieran. No sólo para que lo comieran ellos, sino para todos. Imagine lo sorprendidos y maravillados que estarían todos al ver lo que sucedía mientras se les alimentaba. Seguramente causó gran impacto. Venimos a la Eucaristía y el mismo Cristo, en la persona de un sacerdote consagra los elementos del pan y el vino, porque necesitamos satisfacer nuestra hambre. Debo preguntarme si el don de la Eucaristía produce el mismo efecto en mí. ¿Reconozco la Verdadera Presencia de Cristo en la Eucaristía? ¿Siento el hambre de recibir el don que el Señor me provee? ¿Produce mi encuentro con Cristo en la Eucaristía una unión, que es lo que la comunión significa? En esta fiesta especial oro para que la devoción de Cristo en la Eucaristía sea recibida. Que pueda yo conectarme con mi Primera Comunión. Recuerdo una pequeña señal en mi iglesia que le indicó al sacerdote ‘Celebra esta Misa como si fuera tu primera Misa.’ Celébrela usted como si fuera su última Misa.
`Onoriamo e adoriamo oggi il “Corpo del Signore”, spezzato e donato per la salvezza di tutti gli uomini, fatto cibo per sostenere la nostra “vita nello Spirito”. Gesù ha moltiplicato i pani e i pesci per nutrire la folla che lo seguiva: il cibo fisico agisce in me anche quando non ci penso, anche quando dormo si trasforma in carne, sangue, energie vitali. Il cibo spirituale è diverso: è efficace se io collaboro con Cristo, che vuole trasformare la mia vita nella sua. L’Eucaristia è la festa della fede, stimola e rafforza la fede. I nostri rapporti con Dio sono avvolti nel mistero: ci
vuole un gran coraggio e una grande fede per dire: “Qui c’è il Signore!”. Se guardo a me stesso, mi trovo sempre piccolo, imperfetto, peccatore, pieno di limiti. Eppure Dio mi ama, come ama tutti gli uomini, fino a farsi nostro cibo e bevanda per comunicarci la sua vita divina, farci vivere la sua vita di amore. L’Eucaristia non è credibile se rimane un rito, il ricordo di un fatto successo duemila anni fa. È invece una “scuola di vita”, una proposta di amore che coinvolge tutta la mia vita: deve rendermi disponibile ad amare il prossimo, fino a dare la mia vita per gli altri. Secondo l’esempio che Gesù ci ha lasciato.

BAPTISM INFORMATION The Sacrament of Baptism is Celebrated
Once a month on Sunday One Sunday in Spanish after the 12:30pm Mass
and One Sunday in English at 2:00PM.
THE NEXT AVAILABLE DATES ARE: June 12th— Spanish Baptisms June 26th — English Baptisms
Please come to the Parish office at least one month in advance before planning your child’s baptism.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION 2016–2017
Registration for the year 2016 -2017 will be held from June 6th through June 10th
from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Parish Rectory.

Birth & Baptism Certificate of Student. Every child must be re-registered each year. 2 consecutive years to receive a holy sacrament.

SAINT VITO’S FESTA RAFFLE Tickets for the St. Vito’s 2016 Festa Raffle are being
sold each weekend at the end of each Mass. There are a limited number of tickets sold.
The cost of each ticket is $100 Only 300 tickets will be sold.

the St.Vito’s-Most Holy Trinity Ladies Guild for the new monthly meeting on June 1st in the Parish Center at 7:30pm. As women we are called to
serve our Parish. This organization will promote the great works that we as women can do for our community. Refreshments will be served.

MEMORIAL DAY On Monday, May 30th, 2016 Mass will
only be celebrated at 9:00am in the Church, the 8:00am, 12noon and 7:30pm masses will not be
celebrated. The rectory and the Parish Center will also be closed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Los padres deben venir en persona. Certificado de Nacimiento & Bautizo Todos los estudiantes anteriores tienen que registrarse de nuevo cada año escolar. 2 años consecutivos para recibir un sacramento.

INFORMACION SOBRE LOS BAUTIZOS El Sacramento de Bautizo solo se
celebrara una vez al mes los domingos. Los Bautizos en Español se llevan acabo
después de la misa de 12:30pm y los bautizos en Ingles a las 2:00pm.

MEMORIAL DAY El día Lunes 30 de Mayo solo se
celebrar una misa a las 9:00am en Ingles en la Iglesia. La misa de 8:00am 12:00pm y
7:30pm no se celebraran. De igual manera la Rectoría y el Centro Parroquial estarán cerrados.
