From the Pastor’s Desk

My Dear Parish Family,

Today’s solemnity of the Trinity celebrates the many

ways God makes his presence known in our midst, in the many

manifestations of his love in our lives and our world. God is the

very love that creates, nurtures and preserves: love that is Fa-

ther / Maker, Son / Beloved, Spirit / Sustainer. We are all held and

cared for in that love, a love too perfect and complete for us to

even begin to understand. God’s love becomes fully human for us

in the person of Jesus, who taught us that God loves us like a

father loves his beloved sons and daughters and, in his resurrec-

tion, shows that God’s love for us extends beyond this world but

well into the next. In the gift of his Spirit, we experience the full-

ness of God’s love in one another.

In Christ’s Peace,

Fr. Walter

In your hands, Lord, we commend the souls of our

recently departed, especially; Bonnie Smith

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord.

Sister Rene will resume instructing children ages 3

through Grade K during the 11:00 a.m. Mass on June

3rd. There is no cost for the class. The children line up in the

aisle adjacent to the new hall. We have prayers, music, marching,

videos of Bible stories, and much more (time permitting). Please

see Sr. Rene for a registration form or call her at 438-7156. New-

comers are welcome.

This is a very blessed time for our youth,

their families, and our parish community,

as each of us continue our journey to grow in our faith.

Congratulations to Sr. Mary Asarese—On Saturday, May 19th

the Diocese of Buffalo honored the women and men Religious

who are celebrating their Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilees in

Religious Life with a special Mass at the Cathedral. Our own Sister

Mary Asarese, SSMN was honored on the occasion of her 60th

year in Religious Life. The actual anniversary of her Profession will

be on August 15th. CONGRATULATIONS SISTER MARY!. May

God continue to bless you in your ministry.

At Catholic Charities, we want to thank you

for following the example of our

Appeal Patron; St. Clare of Assisi.

As of this week we have donated $76,614 to Catholic Charities!.

You can still drop your contribution slip into the regular collection

at Mass. You also can mail or bring it to the rectory any time. On-

line contributions (including credit card) may be made to

www.ccwny.org and your parish will be credited.

wonderful generosity.

A sincere thank you to all who were involved in any way with plan-

ning and organizing of Pentecost 2018. The whole weekend was

very well coordinated, and many happy faces at the kite flying Sat-

urday at Day Road Park, and all three Masses, and the Strawberry

Social in the parish hall. There were more people wearing red. It

felt like special day, and was enjoyed by all who attended.

The Holy Spirit was certainly evident throughout!
