So why not talk to the Holy Spirit about your stewardship? Are you sharing your time and talent with God and others? Do you give a fair amount of your treasure to do the work of the Lord? Can you hear the Holy Spirit’s answer to those questions in your heart now? What more is He calling you to do?

2013 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL St. Philip has pledged $12,676.00 (86.50%) of the goal. St. Jude has pledged $9,255.00 (104.58%) of goal. We have 8 copies of the book: POPE FRANCIS by Matthew E. Bunson, D. Min. to be borrowed, read and returned so that we will all be informed about our new Pope. Also, prayer cards and pamphlets are available.

ST. JUDE CHURCH VEGETABLE GARDEN
Our Vegetable Garden is up and running with our first planting of snow peas. Thanks to a number of donations we will also plant green beans and tomatoes
this year. The produce will be donated to the Willington Family and Youth Services for distribution to those in need in Willington. We need volunteers to weed the garden throughout the growing season. If you can donate an hour of your time, please sign up on the sheet at the back of the church. You will need to provide your own weeding tools. Deacon Chris will preach at all Masses this weekend.

So it's time to start thinking about cleaning that attic, garage, or spare room... The format of this tag sale will be different than in past. You won't need to rent a table. Just donate your good, used items to the church and we will do the rest. All proceeds will go to our parishes. Large pieces of furniture in good condition--couches, tables, dressers, chairs, etc.--will be accepted, but if they don't sell you would need to take them back as we don't have the means to dispose of them. No adult clothing, books, magazines or stuffed animals please. Infant/children's clean, gently used clothing is ok. Call Rose with any questions: 860-429-9212.

FROM FATHER KENNEDY: Again my family and I want to thank everyone for their prayers and cards regarding my mother’s illness and passing. I had a wonderful week relaxing, playing golf twice, napping with the cat, and doing as little as possible. The highlight of the week was going to see Beauty and the Beast at Woodstock Academy. Special thanks to Marion Varga and the choir members who sang at my mother’s funeral.

Monthly Pro-Life Mass on Sat, June 1st ~ 8:30a.m. Fr. Joseph Whittel will celebrate the Mass to be held at SS. Peter & Paul Church in Norwich due to Cathedral renovations. Following the Mass the Rosary will be prayed both at SS. Peter & Paul Church and at the Planned Parenthood. There will not be a brunch after the Rosary on June 1st. Your presence is welcomed as we work together to bring about a culture of life.

“CatholicUndergroundCT” College age and young adults gather at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell monthly Sept. through May. The night begins at 7:30pm with Adoration, vespers and praise. Our PRAYER SHAWL group makes baby blankets for BIRTHRIGHT of Windham and Prayer Shawls. It is a very special ministry knowing that with our shawl or baby blanket goes our prayers and a Blessing to someone who truly needs a touch from God. We provide the
prayers, Father provides the Blessing and God takes care of the rest. You may join us at any time. life as we continue to provide baby wash, lotion, shampoo, pampers (size 1-4) and wipes, receiving blankets, newborn gowns and clothing. Through these donations, our
two churches make a major impact on this ministry for local mothers and their babies.
