A Message From the Village of Englefeld… We are in a new world with the COVID-19 crises affecting all levels. We had no choice, by government regulation, to shut the park, fitness centre, and town office until further notice. Should you have any concerns, we are available by phone. The Village is working on a grant to hire two University stu-dents this year. If approved, we will send out a request for applications. Reasoning behind this is that most students who had a job lined up lost that job with most businesses closing. The government is offering a grant to hire these students so we may as well take advantage and help out a local student. I would like to remind all residents that should you decide to build a shed, fence, deck or any outside structure you must get a permit from the town first. Approval is required to build. I hope everyone has a great summer. Darrell Athmer, Mayor.

Hogfest this year will unfortunately be postponed until 2021, due to COVID-19. With the inability to have hogfest, we are fundrais-ing in different ways to raise money to support the rink, playground
maintenance and community sports. We will be having a Bottle Drive on Monday May 11th at 6:00. Please put your bottles out on your driveway/doorstep, drop off at rink entrance, or call Carol
Sommer 287-7420 or Charlie at 287-7099 for pickup. We will also accept small electronics and approved paint cans for a $5 fee. A general mailer will be sent out with more info. Thanks everyone in
