President’s NoteGreetings, Tulsa Area Prime Timers.
I hope that all is well with all of you.Spring is finally here, and summer is just around the corner.We had a great April meeting.We talked about upcoming events and had a report from our members who went on the Prime Timer's cruise.Afterwards we had a great social hour with good refreshments.Remember our monthly events: Dine Out, Lunch Bunch, Movie Night, and Breakfastat Duffy's.See you at our next meeting on May 9th.

My family wanted to do something to honor my nephew, a Ranger with the Army's 101st Airborne, who had been sent to Iraq. So, with the help of her four year-old grandson, Chandler, my sister tied a yellow ribbon on the tree in her front yard. “Why are we doing this, Grandma?” Chandler asked.“It's for your uncle,” she said.As he watched his grandmother attach the bow, Chandler remarked quietly, “A tree's not much of a present.” Diane L. Tulsa Area Prime Timers Monthly Meeting April 11 2017
Meeting was called to order by President Jim MacCatain at 7:00pm.Five members present for the meeting. The mission statement was not read.Secretary report was read by John Madigan from the March TAPT monthly meeting. Motion to adopt March report as read by Murrel Wilmoth and second by Bob Rice. Motion passed unanimously.Treasurer’s report was read by Murrel Wilmoth for March 2017 . Motion to adopt March report as read by Bob Rice and second by Norman Henley. Motion passed unanimously.Activities report for the month of May was read. Motion to adopt report as read by Chuck Cagle and second by Murrel Wilmoth. Motion passed unanimously.
Old Business- Revisited the proposed event for TAPT members of a Saturday night movie. Norman Henley reported to the membership. The first night of movie will be May 6 2017. The showing will be at Norman Henley's home. Time 7pm.
New Business- President Jim MacCatain reported to membership that Steven Dubois has the website up to date.
President Jim MacCatain presented a report on the World Wide Cruise that four TAPT members went on March 29 to April 6 2017.
The Birthday Boy was recognized for the month of April Murrel Wilmoth, Jim MacCatain, John Madigan, Steven Dubois .Thanks Jim MacCatain for the meeting refreshments.May 9 meeting refreshments will be provided by John Madigan.Motion to adjoin meeting by David Dowland and second by Bob Rice. Motion passed unanimously.President Jim MacCatain called meeting closed at 7:56pm.
