Luncheons are always a favor-ite of the residents. They get to share great company and dine at restaurants like The 99 Res-taurant and The Phoenix in Shirley, and, always, the best
meals end in a sweet treat shared with friends.
Above, sisters Hilda and Zelda enjoy the special after-noon tea put on for all of the residents in Reflections. They all got to share great company over a lovely cup of tea with
cookies and chocolate covered strawberries. Yum!
This year’s “For the Birds” project was just that: for the birds! Residents made vari-ous types of birdfeeders out of pinecones, peanut butter and birdseed, as well as ce-real that could be nibbled off of a pipe-cleaner loop. Though the residents had
fun with this project, I think our feathered friend will ap-
preciate them more!

A few groups of residents played a friendly game of “Hi-Low Rummy.” Eve-
ryone was a good sport, and all had a great time!
On the first warm, sunny day, residents hit the patio in their sunhats, to share some songs and finally get some Vitamin D after a long winter. Now, instead of gazing from the window, the residents are able to enjoy the beautiful patio
and lovely garden just off the dining room!
Bowling is a favorite in Reflections.
Not only does it get you active, but
what is more fulfilling than knock-
ing down all nine of those pins? Es-
pecially if it’s a strike!

Tai Chi is the newest program added to the activities calendar. This class,
taught by Ray Caisse, is available both for people who are seated as well as stand. This class will run in 8 week sessions every Thursday at 1:30. It’s not to late to join and to feel great!
Everyone has been enjoying the patio now that the tables and umbrellas are up in this beautiful weather! As weather permits, we will be having some so-
cial events on the patio. Keep an eye on the bulletin boards and the daily sheets for outdoor activities such as walking groups and planting, which will
be planned based on the weekly weather reports!
Last September, RiverCourt Residences was a proud sponsor of the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard’s annual Crafts Festival. Almost 900 people visited and shopped at over 25 Crafters booths! With that sponsorship, RiverCourt is pleased to announce that we are a corpo-rate member of the Fruitlands Museum through October 2013! This means that all our residents, their families and our staff can visit Fruitlands and enjoy the benefits of membership, including free admissions to the museum, as well as member discounts on special exhibits and the restaurant. All the grounds, exhibits and restaurant are open through October. Membership passes are available at our Concierge desk. If you plan a visit to Fruitlands, stop by and Elaine will provide you with a pass for your group! Enjoy!!
The Traveling Boutique is bringing an upscale shopping experience to
the Activity Room! You will feel like you are in downtown Concord without leav-ing the building or emptying your wallet!
There will be high quality clothing and accessories as well as gifts for the children in your family. The gentlemen in the building can also shop till they drop with
beautiful shirts, sweaters, vests and ties!
The Traveling Boutique has been rescheduled for:
Monday, May 20th from 11:00AM-2:00PM
Also, all shoppers will be entered in a raffle to win free merchandise! Cash, Check and Credit accepted!

Residents have been enjoying regular
trips to Harvard Lanes and Games for
some candlepin bowling. We have
some great bowlers here in the building
and they really get to show off their
stuff in Harvard!

Richard Hughes came to RiverCourt with a very special presentation: silent
movies with live piano. Hughes, a very accomplished pianist, played to a few
short silent films, including an International Newsreel. Above, Hughes can be
seen playing along with a clip of Mussolini laughing at a joke. Too bad we
couldn’t hear the joke, but the music was phenomenal!
This past month, we held a wine tasting and jazz event, featuring the Justin Meyer Jazz Trio, and wines provided by The Jack-o Lantern in
Ayer. This event was such a hit we can’t wait to have another
event like this one!
The RiverCourt table at The Taste of Nashoba was a huge hit, with the kitchen serving up Rick’s famous Clam Chowdah and some beautiful chocolate
mousse. Congratulations to everyone involved for a very successful evening!
The kitchen has pro-duced treats that are
both delicious and crea-tive! On the left, dev-iled eggs with some
chick faces for the daily social, and apple fritters were on the menu for
the demonstration!
The residents were given the chance to enjoy some
young, local talent. These children per-
formed on the violin, pi-ano and even gave us a karate demonstration!
