    Delaware Cool Cities Program so thatwe can support each other toencourage local governments to adoptenergy sustainability, environmentalstewardship and climate protectionpolicies and programs.

    We were delighted to help the City of Newark celebrateits recent endorsement of the U.S. Mayors ClimateProtection Agreement. Festivities included a greenribbon cutting by Newark Mayor Vance A. Funk III. Thisevent was sponsored by Sierra Club of Delaware, EzraTemko, Newark City Councilman from District FiveBike Delaware, Center for Energy and Environmental

    Sustainable Delaware Conference Planning Meeting on May 5

    The first Cool Cities Delaware conferencewill be on Wednesday, September 22, 2010at the Virden Conference Center on theUniversity of Delaware campus in Lewes.

    This conference is organized in partnershipwith the Delaware Chapter of the AmericanInstitute of Architects and the League ofWomen Voters of Delaware, as part of theirannual Sustainable Delaware conferenceand will focus on local government energy

    sustainability, environmental stewardshipand climate protection policies, programsand financing opportunities.
