Those to remember in prayer…

Myrl Carpenter remains in very critical

condition at Clear Lake Hospital. He is now in

room 653 under the care of hospice.

Scott Allen received the pathology report which

shows that the tumor in his chest is a type of lung

cancer, but is not in his lung. He will be seeing

his oncologist Monday to determine the plan for

treatment.

John Spencer is struggling greatly with his back

and is waiting for test results that will determine

the next step in his treatment.

Mona Travis, Kevin Ford’s mother, is under

hospice care at Evening Star here in Alvin.

Please keep Mona and her family in your prayers.

Jeff Mannon, the Morris’ son-in-law is having

some stomach problems and undergoing tests at

this time.

welcome you and get to know you

better. Please take a moment and fill out our visitor card and place it in the collection plate as

it is passed around.

Remember to grab a Children’s Bulletin. There are separate bulletin sheets for 3 - 6

years old and 7 - 12 years old. There are also

bags of crayons available in a basket on the table in the auditorium.

We also have an attended nursery for

babies through 3 years of age.

Senior Sunday This morning is our Senior Sunday and we

will be honoring our High School Senior, Seth Hamilton. Immediately following services we will be having a fellowship meal and everyone is invited to stay for some wonderful food and a special slide presentation honoring Seth, who is graduating from Alvin High School. Secret Sisters

will be having a tea party potluck brunch next

Saturday, May 21st, at 11:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.

There will be a congregational picnic/

cookout held here at the building on Memorial Day

(Monday, May 30th). The congregation will supply the burgers/hot dogs, buns and

condiments. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer for other items. Please sign-up with

your family name, how many will be attending, and what you will be bringing.

We'll need things like: lettuce, tomato, pickles, desserts, drinks, etc.

The festivities will begin at 11 a.m., with lunch around noon. Please sign-up by next Sunday, May 22nd.

There will be a brief VBS Teacher meeting on Sunday, May 29th,

following morning services.

New Baby

Our congratulations are extended to

to Lecy Ybarra and her son Ray and

daughter-in-law Olga Head, who are

the proud parents of a baby girl, Vera

Rose, who was born last Tuesday

morning and weighed in at 4 lbs., 6 oz.

and is 17 and 3/4 inches long. She was

born 8 weeks early, and will remain in

NICU for some time, but by all accounts

she is a fighter. Please keep her and

her family in your prayers.

Congratulations College Graduates

We extend our congratulations to our

2016 Graduates.

Ashlyn Turner-Godeaux is graduating from the University of

Houston at Clear Lake with a degree in Fitness and Human Performance.

Amber Fontenot is a graduate of Harding University with a degree in

Athletic Training.

Ryan Graham graduated from the University of Houston main campus with a degree in Political Science and will be attending the University of Houston

School of Law in the fall.
