stringent recommended practices for heating and air-conditioning.

With the MaxxPower Battery-Powered HVAC System, trucks can produce

6,000 BTUs/hour of cool air or 17,000 BTUs/hour of heat for 10 hours by

drawing power from additional batteries. These batteries then recharge

after just two hours on the road.

Though the MaxxPowerTM Battery-Powered HVAC System

is currently designed to run for 10 hours per charge under

normal conditions, the optional Automatic Start-Stop System

for International® ProStar®+ and LoneStar® trucks provides

an additional safeguard for when batteries run low under

extreme conditions.

When the batteries are depleted, the engine will automatically

start and run for 70 minutes. This is a must-have benefit,

especially for drivers facing freezing or sweltering environ-

ments that not only affect them, but also their vehicles.

For drivers suffering from sleep apnea and operating CPAP

machines, this feature isn’t just a luxury — it’s a lifesaver.

To prevent theft, releasing the park brake

and depressing the clutch disable the

engine. For safety and additional peace

of mind, the engine will not start unless

the hood is closed and the transmission

is in neutral.
