Concept

With many years of R&D experience, Mavisis Technology has developed MAVI SOLAR MODGES Modular Central Photovoltaic Inverter Products and MODGES Power Station Solution. Among these products, our central inverters with modular redundancy draw attention with their creative design approach. The MAVI SOLAR MODGES concept successfully combines the price advantages of central inverters and the control ability of string inverters at string level with high efficiency, high availability and reliability.

Special MV Transformer is NOT Necessary

MODGES products do not have 300 V AC output like other central inverters but have 400V AC output at low voltage level so they can be connected to conventional compact MV transformers or to existing MV transformers on site.

15 Independent MPPT Inputs for Each MW

MODGES Power Station at 1MW power has 15 independent MPPT inputs. High MPPT number allows partial excavation over the ground, reducing excavation cost and enabling higher energy harvesting. A data logger connected to the inverter can monitor the voltage, current and power of each MPPT input.

Modular but Central MODGES Modular Central Inverter product modules are placed in MODGES Power Station. This approach prevents the inverter modules from being exposed to external conditions; thus, extending the life of the inverter, enabling installation and maintenance to be done in a more comfortable environment and allowing maintenance even in poor weather conditions. The cost of such things as road building between the photovoltaic modules and waiting for the weather conditions to improve for intervention, which are essential in photovoltaic power plants designed with string inverters, are not necessary with MODGES Modular Central Inverter products.

Reactive Power Control / Grid Support MODGES Modular Central Inverters perform reactive power control and network support functions.

PID Prevention and Snow-Melting Functions MAVI SOLAR MODGES Modular Central Inverters have the capability to transfer power in reverse direction (from grid to PV modules). Thus, PID prevention for PV modules can be achieved. This function can also be used for snow-melting purpose which can be a great feature for rooftop applications.

MAVI SOLAR MODGES Modular Central Inverters has the ability to keep working without any power derating within the temperature limits under 110% - 120% irradiation. Recent researches show that irradiation values higher than 1000W/m

2 correspond to about 8% of annual energy production, depending on geography.

Energy conversion is achieved at a high efficiency with MODGES Modular Central Inverters which have a modular structure as long as they are used in the correct number according to the solar power plant capacity which is specified by the customer. MAVI SOLAR DATA LOGGER

System Description

MAVI SOLAR data logger system is intended to record the data of a photovoltaic power plant and to monitor these data on site and remotely. For this purpose, all the inverters in the photovoltaic power plant are scanned over the RS-422 data line and the meteorology sensor is scanned over the RS-485 data line once in 15 minutes by data logging unit and all necessary data and alarms are recorded. This data can be transferred to a remote server via ETHERNET or 3G MODEM connection and stored in the SQL Server database on this server.

Inverter Data Logging

PV power, PV voltage, active power transmitted to the network, mains current, total generated energy, daily generated energy, inverter communication information etc. data is stored for each inverter used in the PV power plant and transmitted to the server so that the performance of each inverter can be continuously monitored.

Smart Combiner Box Data Logging

PV current, PV voltage and alarms are recorded for each smart combiner box used within PV power plant and transmitted to the server so that the performance of each string that is connected to the smart combiner box can be continuously monitored.

SCADA Interface / Meteorology Station Data Logging

RS-485 port can be used as interface to SCADA or meteorological station. Data taken from meteorological station in PV power plant such as irradiation, temperature, relative humidity, wind direction, wind speed, communication information etc. is recorded and transmitted to the server and PV power plant performance is continuously evaluated in accordance with this information.

Power Estimation Option

The power estimation module, which can be used with the data logger, estimates the instantaneous power and the daily energy that must be produced by the individual inverter modules within the PV power plant with a high accuracy and it provides the opportunity to detect and solve the problem in case of a partial loss of power which can be caused by a damage on string cables.

Sending Reports by E-Mail and SMS

The PV power plant production report is sent by e-mail and SMS to the customers in the required periods. Along with this, alarm events are also recorded by the data logger and sent to the customer by e-mail and SMS.

Data Logging in Restricted Internet Access

If internet access of Mavi Solar data recorder is interrupted, the data logger can keep the data it receives from each inverter and meteorology sensor on itself for 3 years.

MAVI TAKIP REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM

System Description

With Mavi Takip Remote Monitoring System, data from each inverter and meteorological station in the PV plant can be monitored numerically and graphically over the internet. You can connect to Mavi Takip portal from anywhere you have internet access and reach your facility using your username and password created for your power plant and observe all the details about your facility 24 hours a day. The main page of the facility in the portal contains data like the date of commissioning, installed power, inverter model, number of inverters, plant location, panel model, number of panels and so on. In addition, you can easily access and graphically follow production information based on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly range since installation. PV power, PV voltage, active power transmitted to the network, mains current, total generated energy, daily generated energy, inverter communication information etc. data can be viewed on the portal for each inverter used in the PV power plant. You can also see atmospheric information from the meteorological station on the portal, such as irradiation, temperature, humidity and wind speed.

MAVI TAKIP PRO FOR EXPERTS

Mavi Takip Pro is an additional application that allows the analysis of many parameters related to PV production data for expert technical personnel, maintenance and technical service authorities. It allows user to monitor more than one inverters comparing and analyzing each other based on various production parameters on the same graph. With Mavi Takip Pro, you can sort all the inverters in the power plant by energy production quantities and filter by specific value ranges. You can go into the details of what you want to examine. The Alarm / Alert system informs you via SMS or e-mail when something is unusual or a specific situation you want to follow occurs.

You can access periodic reports with various parameters.
