We are very pleased to announce you the 4th edition of the above race which form part of the World Surf Ski Series. This race has already not only established itself has an annual international key one, but also as a fantastic week of surf ski which should not be missed by all paddlers, with the opportunity for them to combine at the same time a wonderful family holiday. Island Shamaal Mauritius Ocean Classic is viewed today as one of the best downwind courses in the World Series. The event is jointly organized by:

Race Entry Fee:

USD 140

USD 120 for competitors staying at Tamassa or any other Naïade Resorts hotel Entry Fee also includes participation in FTL Sporty’s Race, downwind runs and coaching sessions.

Ski Rental Fee:

USD100 per ski Epic and Fenn skis will be available and allocated depending availability of range. Ski rental starts as from 25.06.11 until 02.07.11; no discount is applicable if the ski is rented for a shorter period. All skis will be kept at Tamassa after each session and/or event.

Payment of Fees: By bank transfer to Water Sports and Leisure Distributors (D. Henry) No entries will be considered on the week and / or the day of the race. The race committee reserves the right to stop any paddler not registered, from starting the race.

Surf skis will be transferred back to Tamassa by trailers.

Race days:

FTL Sporty’s Downwind Dash - departure from Tamassa will be at 10h15 to Le Morne on the finish site, for accompanying persons. Surf skis will be transferred back to Tamassa by trailers.

Island Shamaal MOC - departure from Tamassa at 08h00 (sharp) to race Start and back from Le Morne after prize giving to Tamassa at 16h00 (flexible). For accompanying persons the shuttle will depart from Tamassa at 10h00 to Le Morne on the finish site. Surf skis will be transferred to Souillac and back to Tamassa after the race by trailers.
