FREE – the mattress range with innovative Gelax – special foam for excellent pressure relief The innovative Gelax special foam combines the advantages of gel, cold foam and viscoelastic foam in a single material. Like gel and viscose foam, Gelax special foam offers excellent pressure relief and point elasticity but is not as heavy as gel or as dependent on the temperature as viscose foam. Furthermore, gel and viscose foam, unlike Gelax special foam, are almost air impermeable, which prevents moisture and temperature regulation and the resulting unhealthy, humid bed climate. People who perspire heavily in particular can find gel and viscose foam mattresses uncomfortable. Gelax special foam does not change its softness as it gets warmer, whereas viscose foam becomes increasingly softer. This means that no indentation occurs to restrict freedom of movement and encourage lying in the wrong position when sleeping on Gelax special foam. As with cold foam – and unlike gel and viscose foam - Gelax special foam has a high rebound elasticity. It ensures that the Gelax special foam instantly returns to its original shape when the load is removed, and supports the body. Thanks to its properties, Gelax special foam has better pressure relief than cold foam, which means added comfort and better sleep. FREE – the mattress range with the heat-regulating double fabric with PCM finish for an excellent microclimate The top of the versions in the Free mattress range is covered in highly elastic double fabric with a PCM (phase changing material) finish. This material absorbs and distributes heat to provide a pleasant bed climate.
