Textbook: Elementary Linear Algebra with Applications by Kolman and Hill
Assignment: Exercises will be posted immediately after lecture on the course webpage. It is in your interest to begin working on these assignments as soon as possible! Discussion sections will be devoted to discussing and working on these assignments as well as supplementary materials such as worksheets, practice exercises, presentations, &c.
Quizzes: There will be a weekly quiz at the beginning of your discussion section. These quizzes will be timed for about 10 minutes and emphasize the material from the previous week's assignments. Your quiz grade will be determined from the 12 best scores of the 14 planned quizzes. There will be NO make up quizzes.
Lab/Project: There will be biweekly long-form group labs and projects. There will be six assignments throughout the semester and we will use the five best scores for your grade.
Grading: 15% for quizzes, 15% for lab/projects, 20% for each of the midterm 1 & 2 and the remaining 30% for the final exam.
Exam Information: Midterm 1: Friday, March 4, at 5:30 - 7:00 PM Midterm 2: Friday, April 15, at 5:30 - 7:00 PM Final Exam: Thursday, May 12, at 7:25 - 9:25 PM Locations will be assigned before the exams.
