In the first unit, your student will visually represent 1 more and 1 less, practice writing numerals 1-10, visualize 5- groups and extra ones, and learn partners of 2 through 10. Thank you for helping with the homework! I will put a star on the math homework chart for each completed assignment. Remember to have your child write his/her name on homework. Take Home Folders:Please check your student’s red take home folder nightly for completed work, homework, and newsletters. This folder is the primary means of communication between home and school. One side of the folder is marked “Keep At Home”. The other side is marked “Return To School”. Your child will try to put homework in the “return” side and all papers that can stay at home on the “keep” side. Papers may not always end up in the right place though. Please sort through them and send a fairly empty folder back to school each day!
