Parish Religious

Education Program (PREP) The primary purpose of our PREP is to assist parents

in sharing and teaching the Catholic Faith to their

children. Parents whose children do not attend Catho-

lic schools should enroll their children in PREP. In-

struction is necessary for students attending public

schools or private non-Catholic academies in order to

receive the Sacraments of Penance, Holy Eucharist

and Confirmation. Our program runs from Grade 1

through high school: it does not stop with the recep-

tion of Confirmation.

In order to prepare for the next school year, we must

start now. We need to secure teaching staff, order

books and plan for classroom space. Tuition rates for

2019-20 are: 1 child, $150; 2 children, $225; 3 or

more, $300. There is an additional charge of $25 for

families registering after June 30. Contributions for

families of children receiving Reconciliation and

Eucharist is an additional $60. Registration forms are

available in the Rectory and at the entrances of

Church. To register or for more information, contact

Sister Mary Beth Geraghty at 215-673-4010. Please

return Registration forms and fee to the Rectory.

SCHOOL MISSION REPORT 2019

School Projects:

In the Fall, the School held a food drive for the

St. Vincent de Paul Society.

During Catholic School’s Week, the School

collected puzzle/coloring books and clothing

for the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Center.

This center provides support of our veterans.

The 5th Grade sold snacks in their Grade and

used the profits to buy several bags of food for

the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Parent volunteers made casseroles monthly for

St. John’s Hospice. These casseroles are used to

feed the homeless in Philadelphia.

The Fifth-Grade Class sponsored Alex’s Lemon-

ade Stand to donate proceeds to kids with can-

cer.

Children’s Missionary Club did the following:

Counted and sorted the change for donations to

Operation Rice Bowl and the Missionary Child-

hood;

Created handmade classroom mission boxes to

encourage giving. The club created over 150

mission boxes;

Sold bookmarks and raised over $150. The club

voted to give the money to the Make A Wish

Foundation, the Red Paw (an organization that

helps people and their pets in emergencies), and

the Breathing Room Foundation (an organiza-

tion that supports families with cancer);

Made cards for our veterans and soldiers over-

seas;

Organized the distribution of casserole pans for

St. John Hospice.
