Our Maternal Infant Care Clinical Specialist educators are registered nurses or advanced practice nurses, with more than 10 years of experience in the Newborn, NICU and Labor and Delivery disciplines.

Clinical Product EducationOur experienced Clinical Specialists guide your staff through proper and effective use of patient equipment and accessories as part of installation or in advanced training options.

Different training options allow for new product basic, Go-Live and advanced clinical education. You can choose the education program that fits your hospital protocols and practice philosophy. Programs include:

Basic Clinical Training (Basic and Go-Live)

Clinical Specialist at your facility providing hands-on interactive product clinical staff education with the option for added Go-Live clinical product bedside support. Designed to give clinicians the knowledge to become proficient in using GE systems in Newborn, NICU and Labor and Delivery.

Master or Super User Training

This onsite training includes advanced clinical training along with extended product training. In addition, these resource clinicians will receive the skills necessary to teach the clinical training skills to new staff members.

Follow-up or Refresher Training

Hands-on clinical support and additional basic clinical training as needed at the patient bedside. This ensures a smooth transition with repeat equipment purchases, or additional training required after initial installation of the product.

GiraffeCare Advanced Clinical Training (SpecialCare and ExpertCare)

Advanced onsite education seminars provided by a Clinical Specialist team. These seminars provide unique solutions of the Giraffe® products to create a developmentally and family supportive environment for improved clinical outcomes and simplified care management. Contact hours provided.

Clinical Connections Advanced evidence-based education provided by Clinical Specialists off site. This one day course is designed to build on clinical experience and knowledge of the Giraffe and Panda products. Designed for bedside clinicians and educators both experienced and new to nursing. Online Clinical Training

Interactive, self-paced Web application designed to give clinicians primary proficiencies in system use. The student will receive the skills necessary to teach the Clinical training course to new staff members.

Clinical Webinar Online and Global

Global online advanced clinical web-based education provided by clinical experts from around the world. These programs provide clinicians with evidence-based research and clinical practice to enhance and standardize care. Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course: Reducing risk through enhanced communicationThe Electronic Fetal Monitoring Education Program emphasizes the importance of accurate, consistent communication and interpretation of FHR patterns. This Web-based education course promotes the use of a standardized FHR terminology, helping minimize miscommunication between clinicians while improving patient outcomes. The program reviews actual clinical case scenarios, reviewing and reinforcing NICHD definitions for visual interpretation of FHR patterns.

Developed by nationally recognized fetal monitoring experts Frank Miller, M.D., FACOG and David Miller, M.D., FACOG, this highly interactive, web-based program educates clinicians on the interpretation of FHR patterns using NICHD definitions.
