Final Numbers and any special dietary requirements must be confirmed to Matara at the latest 4 weeks prior to your event. We also require a copy of your working table plan no later than 1 week prior to your event. Please note we can cater for a maximum of 150 guests, our 5ft round tables seat 8 – 10 guests. All dietary requirements can be met. Children (under 12) can be catered for at your request, either by a separate child’s menu or ½ portions of the adult menu. All menus are followed by Tea, Coffee and Tisanes *This is not applicable if you have booked a package.

General Information

Please note that these menus are priced for all events that are taking part in 2015; our menu

prices increase annually in line with the average food price index.

The menus are designed as a sample so if you wish to create or change them in any way, then

please feel free to use your imagination; a food meeting can be booked to discuss all

requirements and ideas.

We encourage you to select 2 dishes for starter and main courses, one of these being a

vegetarian option. If you wish to have more choices for your guests we can cater for this but at

an extra cost.

Brioche, Vegetable Fritter with Chilli Jam, Mini Baked Potatoes with Sour Cream and Chives.

Seafood Platter – Spicy Crab Cakes with Dill and Lemon Mayo, Avocado and Smoked Fish Salad, Sizzling Garlic Prawns with Lemon Wedges, Crispy Fish Goujons and Tartar Sauce.

Roast Loin of Beef Lemon Roasted Chicken

Roasted Loin of Pork Herb Poached Salmon and Baby Prawn Cream Sauce

Baked fillet of Seabass and Mixed herb Cream Roasted Red Pepper and Herb Polenta with a mixed mushroom three onion stir fry and

cracked pepper cream with mini salad. Butternut Squash and Chickpea Risotto Slow Roasted Shoulder of Lamb (supp)

Cheese Starter – Brie Wedges with a Chilli Jam, Crisp Flatbread, Humus and Crudities.

Salad Starter – Rustic Salad of Roasted Peppers, Sweet Onion and Strips of Lemon Chicken.

Meat Starter – Ham Hock Terrine, Liver Parfait, Spinach and Garlic Falafel, Chutney, Hummus, Tomato Salsa and a selection of Breads.

Mixed Starter – Peppered Salmon with a coriander lemon cream, mushroom, Tomato and

Pork - Braise Belly of Pork, Leek and Herb Sausages, white pudding with a three onion compote, served with onion mash and mixed vegetables.

Beef – Roast Loin of Beef, Roasted Vegetable Terrine, served with Yorkshire pudding, roast

Lamb – Tagine of Lamb with prunes and apricots, spiced vegetable Tagine, with herbed cracked bulgur wheat, mixed salad and bread.

Chicken – Half Lemon Chicken, chickpea and pumpkin risotto with a bean & onion stew and

sautéed new potatoes.
