Melinda Felletár

Melinda Felletár ha iniziato i suoi studi musicali al Conservatorio di Szeged con Richard Weininger (arpa) e Lajos Huszár (composizione). Nel 1978 ha proseguito lo studio dell'arpa con Vera Dulova al Conservatorio di Mosca. Nel 1983 è tornata in Ungheria ed ha iniziato l'attività di prima arpa dell'Orchestra Sinfonica e del Teatro dell'Opera Nazionale di Szeged.

Durante questo periodo ha suonato le più importanti composizioni solistiche e cameristiche per arpa: Handel, Vivaldi, Damase, Boieldieu, Frank Martin, Debussy, Ravel, Mozart, Tournier, Weiner, Bernstein, Glier, Ginastera, Pierné e Rodrigo, in Ungheria e all'estero. Nel 1996 ha inciso il suo primo CD. Con János Starker ha inciso nel 1999 la Romanza .di Leo Weiner. Tra il 1998 e il 2010 è stata prima arpa dell'Orchestra Sinfonica di Matav, denominata in seguito “Concerto S.O. di Budapest”. Dal 1991 insegna arpa al Conservatorio F.Liszt di Szeged. Nel 2010 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso la Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, presentando una tesi dal titolo “ La Scuola Russa di Arpa: analisi comparativa tra la scuola russa e la scuola arpistica austro-ungarica”. Melinda Felletár deve la sua fama anche alla esecuzione per la radio nazionale di sei concerti ungheresi per arpa e orchestra scritti da Dohnányi, Balassa, Farkas, Járdányi, Hidas, Weiner, quattro dei quali sono stati da lei incisi in cd per la prima volta; tra questi c'è il concerto di Sándor Balassa, a lei dedicato. Recentemente ha effettuato tournèe suonando recitals con l'Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma,L'Orchestra nazionale Serba, la UANL Symphony Orchestra del Messico e in veste cameristica a Vienna e in Svizzera con la Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra . In occasione della 2° International Harp Competition a Szeged ha registrato un cd di composizioni di Ferenc Farkas. Nel 2008 le è stato conferito il premio “Artisjus”. Melinda Felletár began her harp studies at the Szeged Conservatory under the supervision of Richard Weininger (harp) and Lajos Huszár (composition). In 1978, she moved to Moscow to continue her studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Vera Dulova. After returning to Hungary in 1983, she was appointed as the solo harpist of the Szeged Symphony Orchestra and the National Opera Theatre of Szeged. During this period she played the majority of the harp repertoire from concertos to chamber music and solo pieces, such as Handel, Vivaldi, Damase, Boieldieu, Frank Martin, Debussy, Ravel, Mozart, Tournier, Weiner, Bernstein, Glier, Ginastera, Pierné, and Rodrigo etc. in Hungary and abroad. Her first solo CD was released in 1996. She recorded the Romance by Leo Weiner with János Starker in 1999. Between 1998 and 2010, she was the principal harpist of the MATAV Symphony Orchestra – later called the Concerto S. O. of Budapest. Since 1991, she has been the professor of harp at the Liszt F. Conservatory in Szeged. In 2010, Melinda Felletár obtained her doctoral degree at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (dissertation title: The Russian Harp School, and the Comparative Analysis of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian Harp Schools). Melinda performed six Hungarian harp concertos (works of Dohnányi, Balassa, Farkas, Járdányi, Hidas, Weiner) in a three part concert series in the Hungarian Public Radio, which earned her fame and success. Four of them she recorded on CD, three of them were recorded at the first time. Among them she premiered the concerto of Sándor Balassa that was dedicated to her by the composer. Recently she has been extensively touring the world performing in recitals and concerts with symphony and chamber orchestras alike. She appeared on stage in Rome with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, in Serbia with the National Symphony Orchestra, in Mexico with UANL Symphony Orchestra, and gave a performance of chamber music in Vienna. She was the guest soloist during the concert tour of the world renowned Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland. On the occasion of the 2nd International Harp Competition in Szeged, a collection of compositions written by Ferenc Farkas for harp – including solo and chamber music –was recorded with her on CD. In 2008 she was awarded “Artisjus” prize.
