The Institute Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), centre of excellence and
the first-of-its-kind national Institute was established at the initiative of the
Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The institute is co-
promoted by the Commodity Boards of India, viz. Coffee Board, Tea Board,
Rubber Board & Spices Board and Industry & Plantation Associations. IIPM
has been conceived as a world renowned academic institution focusing in the
field of agribusiness, commodity, plantations and associated management
education. IIPM has educational membership with The Association to
Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-USA) & European
Foundation for Management Development (EFMD-Brussels) and Permanent
Accreditation from Higher Learning Accreditation Commission of Texas
(HLACT-USA).
Message from the Director
Welcome to Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) Bengaluru. IIPM has been serving as a
premier national institute of higher learning and offering array of postgraduate programmes. Our
strategic academic alignment plan for the HLAC-Texas (USA) permanent accreditation has been
approved. IIPM is in the process of obtaining additional accreditations from AACSB-USA and EFMD-
Brussels.
The MBA Programme offered at IIPM will equip the students to become future leaders and innovative
thinkers. The students will learn fundamental business concepts through a variety of teaching methods,
like case studies, lectures &seminars, team projects, simulations and corporate learning options, better
equipped to lead in the employability. Through the interdisciplinary approach, our students will be

Teaching and Learning IIPM contributes to students through three primary activities: teaching, research, self-learning and corporate
training/internship. The Faculty and academic facilities viz., library, computer centre, technical lab, knowledge
resource centre, placement unit, campus and academic ambience are unsurpassed by those of any institutions. The
institute offers its teaching and learning transactions through lectures, video, seminars, group works, case study
methods, Business situation analysis, cyber learning, role plays, market surveys, field & industry visits and guest
lectures. The Knowledge Resource Centre of the institute is equipped with state-of-the-art; digital language and
communication skills lab, where students get a hands-on experience to acquire business communication skills. The
faculty carefully developed effective Assurance of Learning (AOL) resources and best practices for student
learning.
Industrial visit
Every semester, the students visit different companies to understand all facets of business. Right from procurement
of raw materials to final dispatch of goods out of the factory, the students are exposed to all strategic-decision
making areas in a company. Students will have both local visits and outstation visits. Some of the industries visited
by the students are TVS motors, Parle, Coco-Cola, Big basket and Bombay stock exchange.
Placements
Students face an intensely competitive job market. Graduating students expect to be placed at well-known
companies at market salaries. The highly-respected IIPM brand attracts top companies to recruit from our campus.
A sizable number of them are top performing companies. We have had an excellent track-record with our
placement, with pay-packets that are in the top quartile of the industry. Admission & Selection The minimum qualification for MBA admission is a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or
institution with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC, ST and Persons with
Disability) as per AICTE norms
Students can apply through PGCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority through Counselling
by selecting college code: B355.
Non PGCET candidates must have a valid score of CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT or KMAT exam and has to
apply directly to IIPM by downloading application from website or apply online for admission. The Selection will be made purely based on merit through GDPI by the IIPM MBA selection committee.
Last Date for submission of Application: 20th September 2018
Reservation The reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PwD candidates is applicable as per the Government of India regulations,
subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria for admission. Scholarships SC/ST and OBC scholarship can be availed as per the regulations of the State Government. Loan facilities MBA programme @ IIPM is AICTE approved, the loan can be easily available from any nationalized banks
including united bank of India, IIPM campus branch
