Assisting with Accreditation
Despite its strong offering, Master Group was missing out on opportunities at the very early stages of the tendering process as potential customers were demanding that they conform to ISO9001. Master Group realised that the accreditation was essential and embarked upon putting the required business procedures and processes in place and finding an alternative to their long-standing paper based system.
Initially, Master Group moved to an electronic office environment to enable staff to capture and share information in Microsoft Excel; however, it soon became apparent that this was just as unmanageable as the old system. James Hobbs was therefore tasked with sourcing the right database solution that could assist them in achieving their goal – ISO9001 accreditation and ultimately a better and more efficient way of working.
In total, five products were investigated and finally two companies, including avrion, were invited to discuss Master Group’s requirements. The selection process was made simpler for Master Group as avrion showed exactly where and how they could provide a solution to assist with the accreditation, along with further benefits the system could bring to the company. The key functions that satisfied the primary requirements were the contact management tools and the customer service module. At the end of this initial process, Master Group had a precise understanding of what would be implemented by avrion, and, surprisingly to them, the solution proposed was the most affordable of those they considered.
Effective Response to Customers
Throughout the solution delivery, avrion worked closely with Master Group - each stage was agreed and signed-off so that the complete solution was delivered on time and in line with Master Group’s expectations. Implementation risks were identified at the early stages of the project and, as a result, minimal impact was made on the day-to-day business operation.
The results are better than expected by Master Group: not only did the solution make the accreditation process far less painful than they had expected, it was also quicker - meaning that they could start winning contracts earlier than first anticipated.
Master Group can now respond more effectively to their prospects and clients and are already discussing the next phase of the project: to increase the number of users of the solution, and integrate it with their web-store when development is completed.
