1.4 FOUNDERS AND HISTORY
Masirah International is a partnership formed in October 2000 by Sultan Mohamed Said Al Humeidi and Jonathan C Turner.
Jonathan C Turner is qualified commercial diver. He has been involved in the marine construction and commercial diving industries in the Middle East for more than 18 years. For the five years prior to forming the partnership he was Operations Manager of a long established marine and diving company in the UAE.
Sultan has been involved with marine transport and plant hire since 1975 and is highly regarded throughout the Gulf Region. He operates five large landing crafts as well as barges and tugboats. His fleet of vessels helps to support Masirah International with an impressive array of different vessels available to the company at any time.
At the end of 2008 a partnership agreement was signed with Sarooj Construction, much increasing our capacity to bid and compete for larger turn-key projects. Now we are in a capacity to quote independently for marine construction projects and other marine services based on the invaluable skills of our experienced employees and resources available to the company.
Whatever you are looking for in the marine industry in the region we would like to help you. Please contact us to see how we can help you to achieve your project.

5.3 SUB BOTTOM PROFILING SURVEYS
Sub-bottom profiling systems identify and measure various marine sediment layers that exist below the sediment/water interface. High-resolution sub-bottom systems have been used to detect and measure the thickness of dredged material deposits, detect hard substrate that has been covered by sedimentation, identify buried objects (such as cables and pipelines), and define the basement (or bedrock) layer for potential confined aquatic disposal sites for dredged material. Sub bottom Survey is more than just marine investigations. This requires excellent knowledge of using multiple sonar with vessel tracking parameters in control. We have successfully completed a recent Sub Bottom Profiling Survey job in Musandam.
