PROFESSIONAL GOAL Use my professional and personal experience to support communities’ efforts to

promote and implement transportation alternatives; promote overall, cross-disciplinary planning and implementation so transportation, land use, housing and economic development are complementary and supportive; and contribute to the vitality and vibrancy of the community in which I live and work.

EXPERIENCE Director, Transportation Planning | West Florida Regional Planning Council

Feb 2008 – Current

Maintained Federal Highway Administration/Federal Transit Administration certification for the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) and maintained Florida Department of Transportation certification for the Okaloosa-Walton and Bay County TPOs.

Managed a staff of approximately twenty (20) senior planners, planners, administrative and financial support staff. Recruited, supervised, evaluated, and mentored employees.

Managed a budget of $3.7 million in Fiscal Year 2016.

Served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Florida Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council staff directors committee from 2010 through 2014.

Senior Planner, Transportation | West Florida Regional Planning Council May 1990 – Feb 2008

Managed public transportation planning activities in seven counties in northwest Florida, a transportation demand management program in ten counties in northwest Florida and the public transit system in Bay County, Florida.

Completed Commuter Choice Certificate through the University of South Florida, Center for Urban Transportation Research

Administered numerous federal and state grants.

Planner, Transportation/Comprehensive| West Florida Regional Planning Council June 1986 – May 1990

Coordinated efforts of citizens, elected officials and government representatives to plan and implement transportation projects through required products such as the Transportation Improvement Program.

Completed numerous elements of local comprehensive plans.

Maintained individual education plans for students and monitored student progress on a regular basis.

Developed lesson plans and executed lessons for Community Schools program.
