Maryland

Maryland (mâr'ələnd),  one  of the  Middle  Atlantic  states  of the  United  States.  It  is bounded by Delaware and the Atlantic  Ocean,  the  District  of Columbia,  Virginia  and  West Virginia,  and  Pennsylvania.

• A seaboard state, E Maryland is divided by Chesapeake Bay.The main part of the state is divided by the fall line, which runs between the upper end of Chesapeake Bay and Washington, D.C

• Annapolis is a cosmopolitan American city with a small-town atmosphere. For more than 350 years it has played an integral part in national affairs. The city has long been the site of the U.S.

and Crossland families. Maryland was founded as an English colony in 1634 by Cecil Calvert, the second Lord Baltimore. The black and Gold designs belong to the Calvert family. The red and white design belongs to the Crossland family.
